    The Batman is now officially Robert Pattinson

    I’m Batman!

    Robert Pattinson is the newest star to dawn the title of Batman. Fans were upset about this casting, but with recent role reveals, fans are ok. We have an all-star cast: Collin Farrel as Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman/Selena Kyle, Jeffery Wright as Commissioner Gordan and John Turturro as Carmain Falcon. Plus, many more to be announced. It’s exciting, but the real test won’t come until footage comes out.

    The suit makes the man.

    Speaking of footage, we are lucky to receive pictures of Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne and as “The Batman.” As Bruce Wayne, I like the look of him. He gives rich billionaire playboy vibes, and the dark hair suites him well. However, as “The Batman,” I’m not convinced about the look. I believe its the headpiece that pulls me away; I think they should of went with the Batman helmet that has the chinstrap like in “Young Justice,” because of Robert’s sharp jawline(check the pictures below).

    So far, things are looking suitable for DC. They had success with the Joker movie and Harley Quinn movie. Also, HBO MAX put in an order for a Green Lantern series and Wonder Woman 2 looking good in the trailers; things may be looking ok for detective comics. Make sure you check the trailer of Pattinson in the batman suit by clicking the intro picture above. The Batman is set to be out in theaters on June 21, 2021.

    LeBron James Promises Students Free Tuition

    Students of the inaugural class at LeBron James’ I Promise Network in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, have been gifted the biggest gift of all—a promise for the future.

    The LeBron James Family Foundation made the announcement on Wednesday, in partnership with Kent State. 193 high school juniors who were visiting the Kent State campus got the news via a video announcement. The room exploded in cries and cheers while parents watched from a separate room through a live stream video.

    Students at I Promise all attend pre-college enrichment programs during their summers.

    Kent state clarified that there are certain requirements to be eligible for the scholarship. Students who apply must obviously be accepted by the university. They also need to fill out required financial aid forms and complete a certain amount of community service hours each semester. And to stay eligible once enrolled, students must remain in good academic standing.

    “Our plan is to offer the same opportunity to future I PROMISE classes as well,” Senior Vice President, Melody Tankersley said.

    “The efforts of the I PROMISE students are to be celebrated.”

    The deal is guaranteeing four years tuition-free with one year of free room and board along with a meal plan. Kent State has promised to cover exceeding costs that remain after federal funds come through.
    “We have so many options, and I just know that so many kids in my community just don’t have many options,” James told CNN. “So for me to be able to be in a position where I can give these kids options to decide what they want to do with their future, it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever done.”

    I Promise has a strong relationship with Kent State and Akron University, respectively. If students choose to do so, Akron U is an option as well.

    They get to decide if they want to get free tuition there or if they want to go to Akron U,” James told reporters.

    The I Promise Network was established in 2018. From the beginning, the school had goals to support students’ futures. I Promise aims to help at-risk kids. The curriculum is STEM-based.

    The Roots of The Festival

    Are you ready for the Roots Picnic 2020?

    Summertime is great for a lot of reasons. School is out, the weather is beautiful, and there is a lot of outdoor music festivals. And one of the biggest festivals in the summertime is Philadelphia’s annual “Roots Picnic.” For those that don’t know, the Roots Picnic is a large, multistage music festival that is held one day a year. This is when Hip-Hop’s first band and Philadelphia natives, The Roots, and many other famous acts hit the stage, and it is a place where both everyday people and the stars will run into each outer and not be a paparazzi fest. When The Roots held their first annual picnic back in 2008, no one ever dreamed that it would grow to be this big. Twelve years later, and it’s only gotten better as time has gone on.

    H.E.R. and 21 Savage were the ones that headlined it last year. And the lineup of this year will not disappoint longtime Picnic Partakers. Some of This year’s significant headliners are Meek Mill, Summer Waker, and Da Baby. If you’re an afrobeat fan, you’re not going to wanna miss when Burna boy hits the stage this year either. The Festival will be on Saturday, May 30th, the time slots for the artists will be released sometime in the future.

    The XFL Makes a Return

    The XFL is attempting to make a second run at creating a football league in the United States that isn’t the NFL. Vince Mchanon owns the XFL. Mchanon first tried to make the XFL a thing in 2001. The league only lasted for one season, though.

    Years later, McHanon is attempting to bring back the XFL, but with a different mindset. Originally the XFL relied on WWE type tactics, such as highlighting cheerleaders and plays with big hits.

    What is the XFL?

    What is the XFL? It is a new football league that hopes to offer football fans another option besides the NFL. When the XFL was first a thing in 2001, big hits were the main focus of the league. This mindset can also be seen by the AAF, another football league. This tactic is a thing of the past, though. The AAF wasn’t even able to last for one season in 2018.

    The new XFL hopes to bring a refreshing take on football. This includes less off-field controversies, as well as faster and simpler play then the NFL. Although one might wonder how legit the XFL is, they have been able to team up with some pretty big names in the TV and sports industry. This includes broadcasting deals with ESPN, ABC, and Fox Sports.

    There are eight teams in the league in major cities across the country, such as Dallas, DC , LA , New York, and many more. The XFL season is 10 games, with 2 rounds of games in the playoffs. The second week of the playoffs features the Championship game for the league.

    New Rules

    Along with bringing a different mindset to football, the XFL has also brought a few new rules. During the kickoff, both teams are not allowed to move until the punt returner catches the ball. The XFL hopes that this will result in fewer injuries and a safer league.

    Another new rule that the XFL features has to do with PATs. After a team scores a touchdown, they will not have the option to kick a field goal. Instead, they can choose to run or throw the ball at the 2, 5, or 10-yard line. The benefit of choosing to go from the 5 or 10-yard line is that you would be able to receive 2 or 3 points, respectively. As compared to receiving 1 point when a team scores a PAT from the 2 yard-line.

    Anna Kournikova And Enrique Iglesias are now happy parents of 3!

    Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias’s new baby has made her official Instagram Debut. Iglesias posted pictures to his Instagram account, giving the world their first look at the couple’s latest addition.

    In the picture, the “hero” singer is holding his baby girl in his arms, staring down ever so lovingly. The misses didn’t miss out on her chance to share the news either.

    Kournikova posted a similar photo of herself holding the baby with the same caption. News of the baby came earlier in the year when Iglesias’s brother was on a radio show.

    This isn’t Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias’s first baby together. Twins Lucy and Nicholas are two years old and already social media famous.

    Just like their first pregnancy, this latest one was kept under wraps most of the time Kournikova was pregnant. The couple has been together for almost two decades. However, unlike other couples, they rarely share photos of each other on social media. They do share pictures of the twins, though.

    Kournikova and Iglesias aren’t married, which is refreshing to see. Kournikova, a former pro tennis player, has discussed before how marriage isn’t a necessity for her.

    Summer Walker Says She’s Done Making Music

    Summer Walker says she’s quitting music in 2020.

    The R&B singer has a history of canceling important commitments to her fans, such as concerts and other appearances due to severe social anxiety. It now appears that she might be putting down the mic for good.

    Summer Walker took to Instagram in a post on Monday, February 10th, to vent her frustrations and let fans know that she might be calling it quits sooner rather than later.

    “Lol, I’m dead-ass never making another song after 2020,” she said.

     

    Summer Walker publicly voiced her issue, and that suffers from social anxiety. Her anxiety had reached such a high point that she canceled multiple fan meet & greets, and even canceled numerous tour dates to take care of her mental health. The singer had previously said in the past that she might not be cut out for the music industry. Even suggesting that early retirement could be in store for her. This is something that hasn’t come up since she first made those comments until now.

    With talks of her quitting music surrounding her again, Summer Walker is still planning on making new music this year. She is also set to make appearances at different concerts, such as Coachella 2020.

    Radiant Is An Uncover Anime Gem

    It’s an enjoyable show.

    Radiant is a French anime that tells the story of a magician boy named Seth. Seth’s dream is to destroy all nemesis by finding their home call Radiant. During his travels, he meets up with two other magicians name Doc and Mélie, who become his close companions as they travel their magical world, discovering mysteries and defeating enemies.

    What kind of character is Seth?

    Seth is a very intriguing character. If he reminds me of any anime character that people know about, then I would say that he is a mixture of Naruto and Asta from Black Clover. Seth is caring and strong-willed; he can also make a friend out of anybody he comes around. The only thing that I don’t like about him is his outfit, but other than that, he is an excellent protagonist.

    Seth’s life is very mysterious; he knows nothing of his past and family besides a cloaked man that calls him “brother” and other horn people that has the same problems as him. As of now, the only thing we know about Seth is that he been cursed since his birth. Also, Seth has some dark energy in him that allows him to go into a severe rage mode.

    Overall, Seth is a caring character that can show his enemies’ compassion if he sees the good in them. He has a mysterious life that he is trying to discover while helping people and looking for Radiant. He has excellent potential to be a strong sorcerer if he can master the dark energy he has inside of him.

    Who are the antagonists?

    Nemesis are monsters that fall from the sky. These monsters infect everything they touch. People who survive their contact become cursed but also gain the ability to wield the magical power known as “Fantasia,” thus becoming Sorcerers.

    Very little is known about nemesis. We don’t know if they are indeed evil or just creatures who are fighting for their survival. However, they are not the only antagonist in the show. There is a military group called the Inquisition whose goal is to oppose the sorcerers by killing them or enslaving them. In the Inquisition is a group of people called  “the miracles” who has powers given to them by their god, so that they can defeat sorcerers or nemesis.

    Why should you watch it?

    Radiant has excellent qualities that make it a good show. You have enemies and villains that are very enjoyable. The serious fight scenes are terrific, and the stories are easy to follow. Radiant caught me off guard, but I continue to watch it after the first episode for its world and fun story arcs. It’s not the best, but it will do. You can watch Seth and his friends on “Crunchy Roll” with new episodes coming out every Wednesday.

    YNW Melly Ex-Lawyer Thinks The Rapper Will Get Off

    YNW Melly’s Former Lawyer Still thinks his old client has a chance to be found not guilty

    YNW Melly’s Ex-Lawyer spoke out about his former client. Attorney Bradford Cohen made a post on Instagram, suggesting the Rapper will beat his murder case.

    In his post, Cohen suggested that Melly will be cleared in the case. Not because of his innocence but rather due to a lack of evidence.

    Cohen stated in his post, ” I am no longer representing Melly in this matter, but I predict a not guilty based on all the evidence I have reviewed.”

    YNW Melly is currently in jail, facing a double murder charge.

    The Florida born rapper was arrested and charged last year in relation to a 2018 murder of his friends. Prosecutors believe Melly, along with fellow Rapper YNW Bortlen, staged the shooting death of two members of their crew.

    YNW Sakchaser and YNW Juvy were both killed in October 2018, in what was allegedly a drive-by.  Cops arrested Melly in 2019 after investigating the murder and charged him with two counts of murder, to which he plead not guilty.

    YNW Melly’s ex-lawyer believes Melly’s new team of legal representation should be able to get the Rapper released due to a lack of evidence. Being incarcerated hasn’t stopped Melly from making music, though. He recently released an album entitled Melly Vs. Melvin, so it appears the 20-year old isn’t stressing about his trial.     J.Cole And Puma Announce Partnership

    J.cole and Puma just dropped a short-film/tv commercial to announce their partnership!!

    J.cole and Puma announced a multi-year partnership that gives the rapper an official deal as a sponsored athlete.  The news comes as Puma gears up to release its latest basketball sneaker- The Puma Skydreamer.

    A was posted to J.cole personal youtube page and Pumas Instagram. Cole came up with the concept and Co-directed the video in conjunction with Puma.

    Cole, who is an avid basketball fan and former high school player himself, is a bridge between hip-hop and hoops. The North Carolina native has participated in the celebrity all-star game multiple times and makes constant references to basketball in his music. For Puma, the deal was a no brainer.

    In a statement Global director of Puma, Adam Petrick had this to say about the deal.

    “Cole’s involved in product creation, marketing campaigns, and cultural guidance. He is going to be a key player in many of the things we do at PUMA moving forward, and we’re excited to work with him not only on a product level but even more importantly as one of our athletes.  Cole sits at the intersection of music and sport and represents everything that PUMA stands for as a brand.”  

    In addition to being apart of Puma’s basketball line releases. Cole will have his sneaker line and brand named Dreamer that is dropping later this year.

    Aladdin is looking to be a big franchise

    There will be a new twist to the Arabian Nights movie we love so much.

    Disney’s Aladdin sequel is confirmed with new writers, John Gatins and Andrea Berloff. It won’t follow the original sequel but will offer a unique story. Casting details are yet to be announced. Additionally, there are rumors of more Aladdin spin-offs, including a possible genie prequel and a Prince Anders spin-off series for Disney+.

    Disney is taking full advantage of the profits that come with live-action movies. Not only is Aladdin getting a sequel, but so is the live-action version of “The Jungle Book.” Disney is making great strides with their live-action movie plan. Now, with Mulan coming out in March and a live-action Lilo & Stitch movie coming straight to Disney+, the future is looking even brighter for this media giant.

    Chris Brown is a fan of Jordan’s, and Tattoos so he got a Jordan Sneaker Tattooed on his face. Brown, who has tattoos all over his body, just recently let people see the new Ink at last week’s Grammy Awards.

    The “No Guidance” singer has had the Tattoo since October, but it was covered with facial hair. However, the artist behind the Tattoo posted a close-up picture to his Instagram account so fans could get a better look.

    While Chris Brown’s whole body is covered with Tattoos, his most famous one is a picture of a woman who looks quite familiar. In 2012 Chris got a tattoo on his neck that looked a lot like his ex-girlfriend Rihanna. Browned denied accusations that the Tattoo was of Rihanna’s face from pictures following their domestic dispute. However, fans weren’t buying it and didn’t believe the imagery was mere coincidence.

    A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s third studio Album Artist 2.0 is set to drop Valentine’s Day 2020.

    A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie confirmed Tuesday that his album Artist 2.0 will officially drop Friday. The Bronx born rapper used his Instagram to share a trailer and tracklist for his upcoming third album.

    Artist 2.0 is a sequel to A Boogie’s breakout/debut mixtape Artist from 2016. Even more, the new album release comes four years to the day his Artist Mixtape first came out.

    A Boogie’s Sophmore project Hoodie Szn was a significant success, earning the rapper his first number 1 album to date.

    The collection would go on to become two times certified platinum and earn Boogie a spot as a top rap artist in the game.

    Fans got a preview of what to expect from the new album with the release of Tracks like King of my city, Reply(ft uzi), and Mood swings.

    You can get an exclusive preview of the album Thursday via Amazon Music. In partnership with Dj Akademiks and Amazon, fans will get a chance to listen to six unreleased songs from the album. In addition to this, fans will be able to watch A Boogie and Dj Akademiks battle it out in NBA 2k20 or ask the two of them questions via An AMA session.

    Philadelphia DUB Show Tour 2020

    The DUB Show Tour 2020 is an auto show that takes place in major cities throughout the United States during the year. This is not your typical auto show, though. DUB Magazine hosts the DUB Show Tour.

    DUB Magazine is the premier publication of the urban automotive lifestyle. This is showcased quite well at the Philadelphia DUB Show Tour 2020. This year’s event is at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The show in Philadelphia began on February 8th, but one can attend the event up until February 18th.

    This year’s show features many cool custom vehicles. This includes tricked-out cars, motorcycles, and the latest in after-market vehicles. All of this is showcased on the street level of the Pennsylvania Convention Center in a room that spans across 125,000 square feet.

    A majority of the tricked-out vehicles at the show feature unique custom paint jobs. Some of the custom paint jobs that stand out include a Jeep that pays tribute to Kobe, a paint job inspired by the movie “IT”, and anime-inspired cars owned by the famous rapper Lil Uzi Vert.

    This show features many celebrities’ vehicles. These include Lil Uzi’s fast cars with anime paint jobs, Carson Wentz’s classic green car, and the star Eagles’ player, Fletcher Cox’s truck.

    There are several cool features to check out at this year’s event. One can see cars with wild custom paint jobs, massive trucks, and celebrities’ tricked-out vehicles. Thankfully this show is still open until February 18th, so you still have time to attend it.

    Jussie Smollett Indicted Once Again

    Not so fast, Jussie. Eleven months ago, the former Empire star dodged the prosecution bullet for staging a hate crime. But the bullet is now biting back. The Chicago Grand Jury announced Tuesday morning that Smollett will be indicted on six counts of disorderly conduct for false claims he made last January.

    Smollett maintains his innocence, but rumor has it that the tv-star was allegedly dissatisfied with his salary on the Fox series, Empire. It’s alleged that Smollett’s motivation behind the so-called hoax was to gain media publicity, therefore becoming a more valuable cast member.

    On January 29, 2019, Jussie Smollett, who is openly gay, told Chicago PD that he had been the victim of an attack. Allegedly, two masked men jumped Smollett yelling racial and homophobic slurs—they even wrapped a noose around the actor’s neck. After active investigations, the Chicago PD identified the two assailants and made connections between them and Smollett. Small world? Consequently, the Empire star quickly turned from victim to suspect.

    The city of Chicago is currently pursuing a civil suit against Smollett for $130,000. The city wants the actors’ reimbursement for money spent on the investigation as well as officers’ overtime. The police department notes that other costs of the investigation apparently near the half-million-dollar mark.

    The City’s Law Department announced that there are no intentions of dropping the suit in the wake of Smollett’s new indictment.

    “We anticipate reviewing the indictment, and the City stands by our original complaint to recover costs for Mr. Smollett’s false statements,” the statement said. “We appreciate the hard work of the Chicago Police Department detectives on this case and the initial investigation.”

    The two men who allegedly attacked Smollett are expected to testify against the actor. The alleged assailants are claiming that Smollett was the mastermind behind the assault.

    Smollett is scheduled to appear in the Chicago court on February 24.
