    Celebrated NBA icon Charles Barkley and legendary basketball star Michael Jordan enjoyed an exceptionally close camaraderie that endured for many years. Nevertheless nearly a decade ago their cherished rapport experienced an unforeseen turning point. Upon reflection, Barkley realized he had regrets about his relationship with Jordan. His outspoken nature may have cost him a lifelong friendship.

    During an appearance on the Let’s Go! With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray podcast on November 21st, Barkley opened up about his true feelings on the matter. As per the report on BET.com. It was disclosed that there has been no communication between him and Jordan for almost a decade.

    When asked on the podcast if his outspokenness had affected personal relationships, Barkley responded:

    “I think losing my friendship with Michael [Jordan] was probably the most significant consequence…I faced a challenge because I expressed my true opinions honestly. I shared, “Allow me to emphasize that the greatest struggle for Michael lies in selecting individuals of higher caliber to surround himself with.” When one attains fame. There is a constant influx of people on their private aircraft. An abundance of purchases being made, yet only an exceptional few possess the courage to offer candid feedback. Thus. I make a conscious effort to associate myself with people who have the ability to bring to my attention any mistakes or misjudgments I might be making.

    Barkley continued, “Michael took offense to something I said about him, and we haven’t spoken in almost 10 years. It’s disappointing because he was my best friend at the time, and I truly care about him like a brother. We’re both stubborn, and we haven’t been able to reconcile.”

    Did Barkley ruin the relationship, or is Jordan overreacting? Jordan may feel betrayed by Barkley’s public criticism of his abilities as a general manager, but Barkley’s viewpoint wasn’t entirely unfounded.

    The World Cup Supreme Committee Offers Full Refunds To Fans

    Qatar World Cup officials have been forced to offer full refunds and new accommodations to football fans. Sadly, they’ve been living in unspeakable conditions. According to reports, some individuals were forced to stay in metal containers for £185-a-night. Prior to the tournament, the majority of the fans arrived at Fan Villages in Doha. Only to find individuals still working on completing their rooms.

    There have been numerous complaints in regard to Qatar World Cup accommodations. For example, it’s reported the rubbish surrounding the containers has begun to pile up. Not to mention, the standard tiny rooms these people are staying in, as well as, the excessive check-in time.

    In fact, it’s become so unorganized and out of control that the receptionist couldn’t determine who needed to be checked in and who already had been checked in. As a result, Qatari Supreme Committee officials have offered a full refund and alternative accommodation. 

    Qatar’s spokesperson attempted to get in front of the situation and left a statement regarding the due diligence and lack of care of their guests. 

    “While these sites are managed by independent commercial entities, rectifying these issues remains the utmost priority for the Supreme Committee,” the spokesperson added.“Full refunds are being offered to fans severely impacted by this issue. As well as, alternative accommodation which will be free of charge for the duration of their stay.”

    John Legend Almost Car Jacked, Would-Be-Thief Arrested

    John Legend nearly became the latest celebrity victim of grand theft auto. The singer was in his studio when a nefarious character attempted to steal his Porsche. TMZ reports, security alerted the LAPD about suspicious activity at the recording studio during the afternoon on November 21. Legend was not alerted during the incident.

    While waiting for the police to arrive, security confronted the suspect, who was now inside of Legend’s vehicle and seated on the driver’s side. The man was allegedly attempting to start the car, and he said that he was the owner of the Porsche before exiting and walking away from security. Once the police did arrive, a chase ensued. The suspect was eventually detained and charged with a felony, attempted grand theft auto. His bail is set at $85,000.

    Legend is not the first successful entertainer to be targeted by criminals. It is very likely the suspect had been hopeful that a musician would carelessly leave an expensive vehicle running or with the keys easily accessible. Legend seems to know exactly how to beat the crooks, and he must not let his keys out of his sight!

    His good judgement has benefited him greatly. It is estimated that Legend is worth an upwards of $100 million. This year alone, Legend released his eighth studio album shortly after his wife, Chrissy Teigen, announced she is pregnant with their third child!

It would seem like the guy has it all. In addition to being a businessman and rapper, he’s also known for suing people left and right.  Unfortunately, he has piles of legal fees he’s been drowning in since 2003.

    If there’s one thing we can count on when it comes to 50 Cent, it’s that he’s always ready to sue someone. Recently, the rap mogul revealed that he’s spent $23 million on just legal fees alone since his debut album in 2003, Get Rich or Die Tryin.’

    Furthermore, the rap mogul shared more details on the matter during an interview with Brian J. Roberts. “I’m going, ‘What?’ When I’m looking at it myself, ‘That’s how much you really spent on that?’” the POWER executive producer said during the interview.

    Moreover, his lawsuit against plastic Surgeon Angela Kogan and her company, Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, has definitely put a dent in his wealth.

    Speaking of his penis enhancement lawsuit, a new trial date has been confirmed. Looks like 50 Cent will be taking Kogan to court after all. Moreover, he revealed that the trial date has been set for July of this upcoming year. Additionally, he made sure to remind fans, once again, he didn’t have any work done and that “he’s a BIG DEAL” all on his own. Still, spending millions of dollars in legal fees is a bit much. There’s no telling how much money he’s wasting on this case.

    In case you missed it, Ye might be running for president again. He recently released an unofficial campaign trailer for the Ye campaign. In it, the opinions of several Black artists and entertainers are spliced together. One of which is that of actress, Vivica A. Fox. Fox can be heard saying, “Yo, Kanye. Eff you. And I mean that with everything inside of me,” Fox is heard saying the video clip. “You got to cancel him. And I know we not trying to be in a cancel culture but we got to hit him in his pockets now. Because he, obviously, doesn’t care about the African-American culture.”

    Vivica Fox has since responded with a Tweet. She accused Ye of misunderstanding her original statement. Specifically, Fox was commenting on Ye’s opinion on the murder of George Floyd. Vivica A. Fox did not agree with the rapper’s stance that Floyd was not murdered and had instead died as a result of fentanyl abuse.

    GloRilla Wins Her First Grammy Nomination

    GloRilla may have just hit the rap scene only a few months ago. However, time means nothing to the artist since she’s already one of the biggest female emcees in the game right now. Not to mention, featuring Cardi B on “Tomorrow 2,” has really taken GloRilla’s career to soaring heights. It just goes to show that some stars really do become famous overnight. In fact, GloRilla received yet another career boost after receiving a Grammy nomination.

    These days, GloRilla has been making grand appearances everywhere. A few weeks ago, she toured Europe and found out that foxes are real creatures. Now she just hopped off the AMA’s stage, after delivering her first ever live performance of the song “Tomorrow 2” with Cardi B. At this point, she’s destined for great things.

    Speaking of which, the Memphis rapper recently received word that she snagged her first ever Grammy nomination. Specifically, she’s one of the nominees in the Best Rap Performance category for her breakout single ‘F.N.F. (Let’s Go)’. GloRilla may be fighting over the rights to the song with her former producer, but she’s clearly winning, nonetheless. The woman definitely has star power.

    It seems that all good things are coming GloRilla’s way. She’s quickly making a name for herself in the rap industry. Even the Grammy’s have taken notice of her.

    Moreover, the Memphis rapper took to Twitter to share her victory speech over her recent Grammy nomination. “The same song they clowned me & my friends about. . . They called us UGLY & DUSTY, we just got nominated for it,” she tweeted. She’s already won the game.

    Michigan St. Hockey Player Jagger Joshua Receives Racial Slurs

    Michigan State hockey player Jagger Joshua alleges an opponent at Ohio State University directed a racial slur at him throughout the game, reported ESPN. Meaning, Joshua heard these slurs several times during the duration of the game. Joshua, a Black man, shared his experience via social media after defeating the Buckeyes, 4-3.

    Joshua admitted one of the referees in the game overheard one of the slurs and gifted the opposing player a game misconduct penalty. Sadly, Ohio State senior Kamil Sadloch was the only player for the Buckeyes who were given misconduct throughout the entirety of the game. Naturally, this can only lead one to believe the racial slurs came from Sadloch.

    As a result, the Big Ten collected the information from the conference referees with both video footage and audio that supported the in-game penalty on Sadloch.

    “Due to the absence of indisputable evidence presented to the conference, the conference has not imposed further disciplinary action,” the Big Ten said in a statement.

    Jagger Joshua’s Thoughts 

    After the game, Joshua said he was motivated to publicly share his story and clarify the events that occurred. He believes if this isn’t checked now the ugliness of racism will only grow within the sport.

    “Acts of racism do not belong in hockey, as they can discourage African Americans and [others] like myself from playing and loving the game,” Joshua wrote in his post. “Inaction in the face of racist comments and actions allows these behaviors to continue.

    “The inaction has left me feeling confused and pessimistic about the movement of diversity within hockey culture.”

    Naturally, Ohio State attempted to stand in front of this alleged scandal. They attempted to take this head-on, however, there’s more information to be disclosed before any action can be taken by the University.

    “Ohio State is focused on providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all,” the school said in a statement.

    Seven Michigan State Football Players Criminally Charged

    After the Michigan State Spartans versus the Michigan Wolverines game, a fight broke out in the tunnel between opposing teams. However, it appeared to be seven or more Spartans versus one Wolverine player and they got the best of him in that altercation. Naturally, Michigan Wolverines HC Jim Harbaugh was frustrated by the egregious actions. In the press conference, Harbaugh expressed he believes that the players should be charged for their actions. 

    As a result, seven Michigan State football players are being charged with crimes stemming from the assault on two Wolverine players, per ESPN. The Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office announced their decision Wednesday in regard to the punishment for the Spartan players. 

    Spartans DB Khary Crump is being charged with felonious assault after attacking Wolverines DB Gemon Green with his helmet. Jacoby Windmon also has been charged with assault and battery as well. Itayvion Brown, Angelo Grose, Justin White, Brandon Wright, and Zion Young are all being charged with aggravated assault.

    “At the University of Michigan, we appreciate the thoughtful, deliberate approach from the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office to this unfortunate incident,” Michigan president Santa J. Ono said in a statement. “We also want to express our concern for all the players involved, especially those who were injured. The University of Michigan will continue to cooperate fully with any additional reviews of this matter.”

    Michigan State interim president Teresa K. Woodruff released a statement on the university’s behalf. Wednesday evening, she stated the school will attempt to “continue to evaluate this matter and cooperate with any investigative reviews.”

    “While we do not condone the actions taken by some football players on Oct. 29, we will support our student-athletes through this process,” she said. “MSU believes strongly in restorative justice practices and the education around harmful actions.”

    Takeoff’s death has been difficult for many people in the rap community to grapple with. The Migos rapper’s family is especially going through a hard time as his aunt, Quavo and Offset have each outwardly expressed their grief. Fortunately, an artist decided to lend the family a helping hand. Furthermore, celebrity artist Ron Da Don gifted Takeoff’s father and family a commissioned piece of the slain rapper.

    The Memory Of Takeoff Lives On

    Recently, Takeoff’s father, Kenneth Ball received a gift from Celebrity artist Ron Da Don. The graphic designer was commissioned to do a portrait of the Migos rapper for his family. Furthermore, Don first shared the creation—done entirely using colored pencils—on Instagram on November 18th. Recently, a video was uploaded of Takeoff’s dad being gifted the commissioned piece by the artist.

    “Oh my God! Wow! Oh man, oh man. I love the eyes. And the pictures! Wow,” Ball said in the video clip, gazing down at the portrait in awe.

    Moreover, Ron Da Don revealed his intention behind the piece, as he wanted Takeoff to become one with the Heavens above. “When times get hard, you can just look at the picture,” the graphic designer said.

    No doubt that the Migos family appreciated the kind gesture from the artist.

    To say that YouTube artist Ron Da Don enjoyed completing his latest work, is an understandment. Shortly after gifting Takeoff’s father with the rapper’s portrait, the artist took time to detail his experience in creating the piece. Basically, he was honored with being given such a task. He loved that he was able to capture his very essence and legacy in his art. Most of all, Ron Da Don loves that he could help his family honor him.

    Nashville’s Zac Chase Team’s Up With Fried Monk For “Babel Fried Sponge”

    There’s a reason they call the city of Nashville “Music City”. Don’t get me wrong, the state of Tennessee has talent scattered all over, especially in cities like Memphis and even Chattanooga. But it’s something special about their capital, “Ca$hville”. One artist that has caught my attention is alternative hip-hop artist, Zac Chase.

    If I had to say what directly drew me was his daredevil ability to take chances as an artist. I’m not going to lie and pretend like he has the most beautiful singing voice. But the fact that he’s unafraid of allowing that one small thing affects his music. Instead, he knows how to maneuver around it and still make enjoyable music.

    To show how spontaneous he is, he recently dropped his new project, “Babel Fried Sponge”. The entire project is produced and mixed by producer/engineer Fried Monk. This isn’t their first collaboration. In fact, the two are frequent collaborators. So it’s pretty cool to see them creatively lock in for a full project to fully flesh out ideas they had before.

    When asked to describe the process of creating this project, Zac explained via IG that it took lots of “trial and error”. I’m glad they kept doing it over til they finally got it right because it feels like artists have given up striving for a certain level of excellence. Without trial and error, Zac wouldn’t have been able to accomplish the extraordinary feats he did on this project.

    One of my favorite moments from this project has to be the single, “Waiting Room”. It features a guest appearance from fellow TN artist Jyou. Both artists get the chance to be vulnerable and tell the world about their mental worries. Once again, kudos to the producer, Fried Monk. His sinister production adds to the atmosphere and takes the song to another level.

    I love it when artists do a joint project with one producer. Not only does it simplify the song-making process, but gives the full project a more consistent sound. Zac Chase and Friend Monk brought the best out of each other on Babel Fried Sponge.
