Kal Penn secured an officiant for his wedding, and let’s just say you’ll recognize the rapper. The “Harold & Kumar” star revealed to the world his engagement to his longtime partner of 11 years, Josh Hall, in his upcoming memoir. Fans on Twitter were in for a surprise from none other than Cardi B.
The actor mentioned that Cardi B was on the same flight to LA. “I dozed off and dreamt that she married us on the plane, and we all walked out of LAX holding hands.”
POOF! Like magic, none other than Cardi B herself commented on the post. Let’s just say the former associate director of the White House could hear the church bells ring.
“First, why didn’t you say hi!” said the rapper. “Second, I’m licensed to do sooo…let me know.”
You Can’t Be Serious, A Memoir of His Life
The 44-year-old has accomplished a lot during his years from being on shows like House, Designated Survivor, and many more. In his new book, You Can’t Be Serious, the actor opens up about his partner and feels it was time to share his relationship. In an interview with People magazine, the “White Castle” star wanted to show his fans authenticity and realness that he’s not used to portraying. It has shaped him into a person he is today and is having a happy life with his partner.
“I thought, if we’re supposed to feel like we’re having a beer together, “he says. “Then I want to take you into my stories and I want you to experience them with the same joy that I’ve experienced them.”
“I’m down I’ll get my suit,” said Cardi B.
What many saw coming next, the “WAP” star and actor continued the conversation on Twitter. And before you knew it, Cardi B wanted to officiate his wedding.
“You’re amazing,” he wrote in his post. “I thought about saying hi, but I didn’t want to interrupt (your do not disturb light was on). But wow, let’s make it happen! We’re in if you are!”
The comment fans longed for: “I’m down I’ll get my suit,” the rapper wrote. Now, Cardi B can add another wedding to her list and just like that the actor can check off officiate as well.
Ultimately this was a big moment for the actor in sharing his personal life, and now it’s time he and his partner can enjoy the beginning of eternity together. And until then, Kal Penn can confirm Cardi B to officiate his wedding.
