Ronda Rousey called out the WWE for giving Logan Paul ‘special treatment’

UFC Hall of Fame hero and former WWE wrestler Ronda Rousey has spoken out recently on her rising concern that WWE does not treat Logan Paul similarly to other fighters. During her media tour for her book “Our Fight,”  Rousey explained that she believes Paul is being pampered by the firm with his alliances, chiefly regarding rehearsal time and resources.

    Ronda Rousey said,

“He is good on the mic. I want the chance to rehearse what they offer him at every MM. It’s not equally distributed. He’s their next big star; they tend to paint the red carpet. If you let people rehearse by giving them the space and resources to do it, they will do great things. It’s irritating that not everybody gets the same chance.”

The Maverick himself has become an unlikely superstar in the squared circle. His transition from YouTube antics to professional wrestling raised some eyebrows, but he is more than a one-trick pony. Charisma, controversy, and a touch of enigma have made Paul a must-watch for fans and detractors alike.

“You know, the first match with them was incredible,” Rousey recollected with a sense of awe and annoyance in her voice:

“They had six weeks of rehearsal; they had all the best minds in the business coming and putting in their two cents; it was an all-time classic. And they have not done that since! I’m like, ‘Why is it not happening? They do that with Logan Paul; the guy has these amazing performances'”.. Look what you can do when you put organization and effort into things. It blows my mind that this billion-dollar company is succeeding despite itself in many ways.”

Rousey’s complaint will be remembered alongside her WWE tenure for her views on where the company’s resources go. Forced to watch Paul, after all, a YouTube star who she will later describe as “America’s Champion” in WWE, she feels he is consistently given time to prepare for his acts in ways she was not given its behold.

Rousey watched Paul win the WWE United States Championship with multiple first-time rehearsals. Rousey sees Paul as the next big star two for everything WWE elite is rolling out the red carpet for him. Rousey wants us to remember the time when she said everybody should have that or equality: this fluke is fantastic. Rousey articulates that wish with a caveat that showcases his employer’s general approach to talent development.

Paul, who has only wrestled 11 times since his debut in 2022, is already one of the sport’s biggest names. Paul’s natural ability to go along with his conniption has risen to overnight success in recent months, but Rousey believes the WWE‘s hiring of him goes well beyond that. Rousey has asserted that the organization offers the 29-year-old male additional resources for these encounters and overall development.

Rousey thinks that the opening match with a WrestleMania tag team chat with Triple H and Kurt Angle in 2018 was the last time she was handed a textbook on triumphing. But I never saw that level of preparation again”. However, I had a successful career in the ring, with memorable matches against Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch and holding tag team glory with Shayna Baszler. She regarded the organization terribly and said she would never return to the industry. Rousey’s declarations have stimulated a discussion of the WWE‘s talent distribution.

Although Rousey acknowledges Paul’s success and potential as a wrestler, she argues that the WWE does not afford the same opportunities to all of its wrestlers. Rousey’s remarks demonstrate that the WWE needs to reconsider its talent identification and resource distribution.
