Emerging singer and songwriter Tetza has released a new single titled “Pictures,” which embodies her creativity incorporated into her uniqueness as she pours her heart out on the new single.
“Pictures” is a song that fully displays Tetza’s artistic skills. It sees her utilizing a stunning melody in the chorus incorporated with catchy reliable instrumentation and outstanding vocals. HYPEFRESH: To begin, let’s introduce ourselves. You can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with, such as your name, age, and where you’re from.
Tetza: I’m Tetza- age 24, originally from San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles- currently living in Brooklyn, NY.
HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “Pictures”?
Tetza: “Pictures” is a celebration of taking nude pictures- our bodies are beautiful, and we should immortalize them and send them to our lucky lovers! I wrote and produced it along with some production collaborators. I’m proud of the melodies in this song- especially the hook. I love when melodies involve notes that are out of crucial satisfyingly. The lyrics are clever but silly and not severe, which is my favorite way to write. The second verse makes me laugh- it’s the song’s meaning and a joke.
Accompanying the release is a vibrant and epic music video on my YouTube. It’s retro-futuristic and brings us back to the late 90s/early 2000s technological revolution with a fun and girly video game theme toeing the line between sexy and goofy. I wanted the video to establish myself as a performer and a complete artist. I write, sing, produce, dance, and have solid visual visions for my work.
HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?
Tetza: I need to learn to describe what I love about being a music artist. When it comes to being an artist, it’s not so much that we love to be artists but that we have no choice. We are. I’d love to find an easier path that isn’t so brutal and is more efficiently lucrative.
Still, there is physically nothing else in the world I could do as a career that would be remotely fulfilling or bearable. I’m thriving and inspired by other art forms, but music is where I thrive. My love for music, creating, and performing is so intense that it feels like I’ll die if I don’t do anything about it. It sounds dramatic and stupid, but I don’t know another accurate way to describe it.
