New Jersey Rapper Trebor Unveiled His New Single “Remind Me When I’m Old”

Emerging rapper and music composer Trebor creates a hit single that shows his ability to infuse lyrical sense into his music, which comes in the form of his new single “Remind Me When I’m Old.”

Engrossed by the thought of having kids in the future, Trebor is moved to create a song that merges a unique beat and a catchy hook mixed with his outstanding lyrical word flow with a blend of bravado, which he utilizes on the superb banging instrumentation.

The New Jersey-raised rapper is no stranger to the four corners of the music firm from a young age. As the years have passed, he has displayed an exceptional talent for creating extraordinary music. He dedicated himself to honing his craft and mastering his unique sound. That’s why his music always sounds like a breath of freshness in the music world, as we can hear in the new single.

Trebor had a conversation with us and answered our distinctive 8 Questions. Check it out below.

HYPEFRESH: So tell us, how did it all begin? What encouraged you to start playing and making music?

Trebor: Ever since I was a kid, I have enjoyed writing. I would write scripts, stories, and magazines in my free time for fun. When I reached the age of 13, my interest in music changed. Particular rap grew significantly. Artists like Eminem and Kendrick Lamar became my favorites.

Their albums, such as The Marshall Mathers LP and Good Kid. M.A.A.D City. It truly amazed me and demonstrated the immense potential of music. I loved how the verses flowed and the topics tackled in these projects. No other genre of music has that much writing and technicalities to it. It inspired me to write music and talk about my life in song form.

HYPEFRESH: Talk me through your creative process when you write new music.

Trebor: Writing new music is something that I dedicate a lot of time to. I listen to hundreds of beats from many producers and freestyle to see how I fit on a track. When I hear a beat I know I want to write on, I think of a song idea that would work well with the instrumental’s atmosphere.

I have a giant list of song ideas with no beats attached, so if I find something that fits, I’ll start working on that idea. I approach many songs differently. In some pieces, I work on the hook first as it could be the most substantial grab of the track, but sometimes I don’t include a hook and write one long verse, creating a story or picture for the listener. It all depends on the beat and topic.

HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “Remind Me When I’m Old”?

Trebor: “Remind Me When I’m Old” is written from the perspective of when I was 20 years old. I remember scrolling social media and seeing people I used to go to school with already have multiple kids in their lives. I was over here dropping out of college, crashing my family’s car, meaning losing my ability to go to my job. I kept asking myself, “Am I doing something wrong?”

These people I know already have kids, getting settled down, but I’m having a life-changing year differently. It got me thinking about whether I want kids and why I even think that at a time like this. It had me thinking of different perspectives on it, like should I even have kids with how the world is right now?

They constantly fear and panic when they go anywhere. Is it even the right decision? It’s a bunch of reflective thoughts from a 20-year-old feeling societal pressure. The answer to those questions is to remind me of when I’m old.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

Trebor: What I like most about being a music artist is creating something from nothing. It was excellent to think that it all started with an idea for a song to beat, lyrics, my rapping, some singers, and an engineer mixing and mastering the final build. Every step to that last point is a journey, and I love being a part of every step.

There’s so much work put into even a single song. Having your idea brought to life brings me so much happiness. There’s genuinely nothing else like it.

HYPEFRESH: What projects do you have coming up? Can you give us any info on them?

Trebor: I take immense pride in announcing the much-anticipated arrival of my newest album, “Center of the Room, ” representing a significant chapter in my creative endeavors. Within its captivating embrace lies a diverse anthology comprising 14 sublime compositions seamlessly blending.

Among them is a poignant gem titled “Remind Me When I’m Old.” This ambitious project has been meticulously nurtured over an extended period culminating in an outcome that fills me with profound contentment and delight. There’s a variety of sounds and topics that play throughout the runtime.

Several singer features worldwide did terrific on it, with many fantastic beats from incredibly talented producers. From bar-filled bangers to emotional songs, “Center of the Room” is an album I believe anyone can listen to and have a favorite track. It’s available on all platforms right now!

HYPEFRESH: Do you have any advice for our readers who may be trying to enter the game of music?

Trebor: My advice is to keep writing and not overthink it. I have a problem with overthinking it too much sometimes and end up being stuck on a verse for much longer than I need to be, but sometimes it’s better to write down certain bars that you may think not work, as you can always go back and revise and change different lines later on.

You may like that line for later on or even for another song, so it’s good to write down as much that comes to your mind because you never know.

HYPEFRESH: How do you solve productivity/scheduling problems and reduce overwhelming situations?

Trebor: I write music when I first wake up, which is admittedly probably much earlier than others. I wake up anywhere from 3 AM to 6 AM. It’s that time when everyone is still asleep, and I feel my most productive. Sometimes you may not be in the music-writing mood, so I don’t force it in scheduling or planning.

Only tell the world a release date for an upcoming album when you have finished recording. I learned that completing everything for an album and starting a single rollout is much more innovative. That way, you won’t have any scheduling or overwhelming stress.

HYPEFRESH: Name Three things you can’t live without when recording in the studio.

Trebor: A gallon of water because that voice work will get to you if you don’t drink water! I Nintendo Switch because a quick Mario Kart 8 Deluxe race can be suitable for a short break. Then finally, some high-quality headphones as you can’t beat immersing yourself in an instrumental with some fabulous headphones.
