Outstanding American singer-songwriter Mr. Monkei recently disclosed one of his new trending singles, “Good Morning America,” accompanied by a stunning cinematic music video.
“Good Morning America,” tells an enchanting tale about the daily struggles of Americans who tremendously work hard to live up to what the rest of the world thinks and calls The American dream.
“Good Morning America” contains a relatable-based narrative and soft, easygoing vocals incorporating a lovely tune with guitar-driven instrumentation spiced with a warm indie-pop vibration that serves as a tasty appetizer to what we should expect to hear from Mr. Monkei as he continues to release new music.

HYPEFRESH: Lets’ start by introducing ourselves. Feel free to share what you’re comfortable with, like your name, age, and where you’re from.
Mr. Monkei: My name is Mr. Monkei (Leo) and I am 35 years old. I am originally from Detroit, MI but currently living in Miami, FL. I work as a music producer, singer songwriter. And film score composer.
HYPEFRESH: Could you tell us about your new single “Good Morning America”?
Mr. Monkei: While going through some of my old beats I came across this particular one that I had created back in 2008 when I was just starting out as a producer. I have always felt a deep emotional connection to this beat and wanted to create something authentic and daring with it. During my time living in Medellin, Colombia from 2018 2021. I gained valuable insights. One thing that struck me was the perception that people in other countries have about Americans.
They tend to believe that we are all wealthy and living the so called “American Dream. ” This prevalent notion exists in various other countries as well. With “Good Morning America ” my goal was to shine a light on the actual truth and hardships faced by everyday Americans.
HYPEFRESH: What do you enjoy most about being a music artist?
Mr. Monkei: When someone mentions the term “artist. ” it immediately brings to mind great painters like Pablo Picasso or Vincent van Gogh. That is why personally I prefer to refer to myself as a musician or creator of music.
To be honest. What brings me the greatest joy is being able to create music that resonates with people on a deep level. If my music can bring happiness on a gloomy day inspire positivity in someones mind when they are feeling down or lost or simply entertain them then I believe I have fulfilled my role confidently and effectively.
