Drake’s London OVO Store Vandalized with “They Not Like Us” Graffiti

On the morning of May 7, 2024, Drake’s London OVO store’s storefront was vandalized. The large words sprayed across the window in crimson red read, “They Not Like Us.” To the horror of drake and hip-hop fans everywhere, the frightening phrase from Drake’s OVO Store London vandalism was a clear reference to Kendrick Lamar’s most recent diss, which had just been released three days prior.

The OVO store, opened in London on November 17, 2017, has long been a fan favorite as both a source of apparel and a ‘brand experience’. What is OVO? Far more than just a destination to buy clothes. The OVO, brought to us by October’s Very Own, offers a cautiously curated selection of streetwear apparel and accessories. Classic monochrome woven throughout with clean lines, premium quality materials, and collaboration among the most sought-after names in the business. Whether it is one of its iconic hoodies for warmth or subtle new line drops sought by fans in record time is a highlight. Yet, the vandalism throws an entirely different light on the current state of affairs with Drake. The year 2024 developed a fierce conflict between the artist and a rapper of the same caliber, Kendrick Lamar. Lamar’s diss tracks in his voice contained suggestive messages so hard to interpret that fans can only make assumptions regarding what their fight was about. Drake released his own track, “The Heart Part 6”, on May 6, 2024. However, the clear picture of events has not been made available to the conversion due to confidentiality.

Drake’s OVO Store London vandalism phrase “They Not Like Us” isn’t just random graffiti. It’s a direct reference to the themes and accusations present in Kendrick Lamar’s diss track. The song’s cover art itself featured a pointed jab – an image of Drake’s sprawling Toronto mansion

But the situation took a more concerning turn on the same day as the vandalism. A shooting incident occurred outside Drake’s residence in Toronto. Thankfully, Drake himself was unharmed. However, his security guard was shot and injured, requiring emergency surgery. The authorities are yet to comment on a potential connection to the ongoing rap feud.

Is the vandalism of the OVO store a mere coincidence, or a sign of a growing and potentially dangerous situation between Drake and Kendrick Lamar? Only time will tell how this feud unfolds, but one thing’s for certain: the lines between music and reality seem to be blurring.
