Olympic gymnast Simone Biles said three masked men came to the Chicago-area home she shared with her husband and stole her Porsche GTS during the couple’s final months living there.
Biles, 29, shared the account in a TikTok video posted Sept. 21 while applying makeup and preparing to shop for a replacement vehicle. “Feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche,” she said. “Stole the GTS.”
She described the episode as part of a string of unusual events in her life and said it would make easy material for a reality show. “The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity,” Biles said. “And so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly.”
Biles confirmed the vehicle was recovered. In the caption on the post she wrote, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next.” She added that the theft was one of the reasons she and her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, got a Doberman Pinscher named Remi.
Exact details about the timing, location within the Chicago area, and how the men gained access to the property have not been publicly released. Biles did not elaborate further in the video and said the full account was “another story” she might tell later if followers requested a storytime. Media outlets including USA TODAY and ABC7 Chicago reported that they reached out to the Chicago Police Department and Biles’ representatives for additional information; no official confirmation of a police report or investigation details has been released in those accounts.
Owens previously played for the Chicago Bears before signing with the Colts in free agency earlier this year. The couple’s primary residence is a custom-built home in the Houston area, and Biles has said she plans to spend time in Indianapolis to support her husband during the NFL season.
In the same TikTok, Biles described visiting dealerships and settling on a Porsche Cayenne GTS. “Then we went over to Porsche. They had Cayenne GTS, and, baby, when they turn that thing on, I was sold,” she said, adding that the couple never continued to a Lamborghini dealership as originally planned.
Biles is the most decorated gymnast in history. No arrests related to the reported theft have been publicly announced.
