Proficient LA-based singer/songwriter Esso released a new single titled “Look Forward To,” which explores self-confidence in a relationship with an undecided partner. Over a soothing and soulful backdrop, she reminds him that he better focus on her because losing her would be a terrible shame.

HYPEFRESH: First, tell us a bit about yourself. Just the essentials, like your name, age, and hometown. Share as much or as little as you prefer.
Esso: I’m Esso, a Nigerian raised in Los Angeles, California. I’m 28 years old and a new and up-and-coming artist.
I venture into many different genres and styles. I love to experiment with different styles to express my artistry.
I write from my experiences, and I’m open to sharing and being vulnerable so that the people who can relate to my music don’t feel alone or isolated.
HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new single, “Look Forward To”?
Esso: “Look Forward To” is a song about a person who finally understands their value and wants respect reciprocated.
HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?
Esso: Being an artist is a journey that takes a lot of bravery. As a new artist, I love discovering myself through my vulnerabilities and seeing all the people who feel the same way.
