Jynx Unveils Spectacular R&B Anthem On “Avocado Toast and Coffee”

English Singer-songwriter Jynx gives us an anthem for feeling comfortable in our skin regardless of sexuality, preferences, weight, or body shape in his recent indie R&B single “Avocado Toast and Coffee.”

Jynx is simply tired of stereotypes and criteria. With a melody close to dangerous, the attitude is palpable, and the sharp electric guitars reinforce the seductive and liberating feeling the artist wants to express.

He is here to spread a message about owning all of ourselves and our expression while enjoying life because we don’t hold our lives, and we definitely don’t know when it ends, so we should grasp what is important to us and enjoy it while we can.

Jynx had a conversation with us and answered our distinctive 8 Questions. Check it out below.

HYPEFRESH: So tell us, how did it all begin? What encouraged you to start playing and making music?

Jynx: I was bullied a lot in elementary school for being fat, Muslim, and a nerd. It was tough. Music was my escape; my parents divorced when I was seven, and it was my outlet. I remember writing books of poetry and stories and rapping on the school bus with my friends.

I started picking it up seriously a couple of years ago as music is widely disapproved in my community and culture, and it was hard for me to break past those barriers.

HYPEFRESH: Talk me through your creative process when you write new music.

Jynx: I incorporate authentic, relatable experiences in my music to document shared human emotional states.

I usually try to find concepts I want to sing or rap about. Then I create a melody, then make the beat, then the lyrics, and then ta-dah.

HYPEFRESH: Please tell us about your new single, Avocado Toast and Coffee.

Jynx: This story is about a couple who wants the best for each other but can’t afford the necessities in life. The song title is satire in that since the couple is enjoying their avocado toast and coffee, some things that bring them joy every day, they are not allowed a big house, fancy cars, etc.

At the song’s end, they can barely afford our rent, which is analogous to our current times.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

Jynx: Being creative in ways that intertwine with everything else in life. Words are easily manipulative and descriptive and can be a partnered delivery medium to artworks or videos, like in TikTok. It’s also cool to see how people use your song in new and unique ways.

HYPEFRESH: What projects do you have coming up?

Jynx: Currently working on a dark pop song – Bad Luck For Me, to be released soon in November. I am also working on a country song called A Drink and A Friend, with a TBD release date. Can you give us any info on them?

HYPEFRESH: Do you have any advice for our readers trying to enter the game of music?

Jynx: My brand is Jynx, to catch the listener unawares and Jynx them with new genres and soundscapes of my music. Stay consistent and build a brand of you who you are.

HYPEFRESH: How do you solve productivity/scheduling problems and reduce overwhelming situations?

Jynx: Don’t take on too much. There should be a smooth process to the top. Life is about patience. Enjoy what you do, and success will come.

HYPEFRESH: Name Three things you can’t live without when recording in the studio.

Jynx: A steam inhaler for my vocals, a good friend or another artist, and water, lol.
