Donald Trump said that he would be “proud” to shut down the government over the wall at the southern border.
Donald Trump has said he would be more than proud to shut down the US government over his historic demands for a wall on the border of Mexico. As usual, Trump bickered with the US Senate Democratic leader about funding the project that his entire campaign rested upon.
If we don’t get what we want, one way or the other – whether it’s through you, through a military, through anything you want to call – I will shut down the government…
Specifically, he has asked for $5 billion for border security. So far, Schumer and Pelosi were expected to donate $1.3 billion. During the exchange, Pelosi said: “I don’t think we should have a debate in front of the press on this.”
What do you all think? Is this another way to give Trump attention?
