It explores empowerment, self-love, resilience, faith, family, and legacy themes. RENAISSANCE pays tribute to the Black queer roots of house and disco music. These genres originated from the underground LGBTQ-dominated ballroom scene. She uses her platform and influence to support and uplift other Black artists, especially women and LGBTQ+ people. She does this by collaborating with them and giving them exposure and recognition on her album and tour.
