All-Pro DeMarcus Couins Prepare for Redemption Tour

The four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins is arguably the most talented FA in the market.

The 32-year-old has been out of his prime for the last five years; however, at his peak, he was one of the most dominant centers in the game.

During his reign with the Sacramento Kings, Cousins’ best season was when he averaged 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists on 45% shooting from the field, according to ESPN,

His last good years were left on the court with the Pelicans alongside Anthony Davis. However, ever since, he’s become a journeyman around the league.

He’s suited up for the Milwaukee Bucks, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, and last, the Denver Nuggets. Sadly, he built quite the reputation of being cancer within the locker room.

Therefore, many teams are afraid to take a chance on him due to his temper issues and flameouts in the past.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, DeMarcus Cousins explained his immature behavior and wishes he get another chance in the future in the NBA.

In an interview with Yahoo Sports, Cousins acknowledged that he has made mistakes and done things incorrectly.

He expressed regret for those actions and apologized. However, he also emphasized that he has done many positive things and hopes that those are not overlooked.

Cousins believes that it is time to move on if the negatives ever outweigh the positives. He is asking for a chance to demonstrate personal and professional growth.

How’s DeMarcus Cousins Preparing to Make his Comeback?

Cousins admits to working out daily, hoping to receive a call from an NBA team. He’s been doing basketball drills, conditioning, weight lifting, and body maintenance. Remember, it’s quite possible he may never touch a basketball court again, yet, the grind continues as if he is.

One can agree the motivation behind being the underdog can be fueled into greatness. Cousins deserves a shot back in the league to be as good of a player as he was, and never receiving another opportunity almost seems criminal.

He’s got a great opportunity this season, as many teams’ depths for centers are relatively thin. Not to mention, the quality is nowhere near as comparable.
