After Twitter took over by Elon Musk, the new owner introduced a new policy that allowed users to pay an extra $19.99 to get a blue check. Some celebrities like LeBron James and Dionne Warwick criticized the charge, while rappers such as The Game and Akon weighed in. TMZ reports that Akon recently posted a tweet blasting Elon Musk for the change, saying that paying for verification was not a good idea.
The Senegalese singer also revealed he had undergone a hair transplant in Turkey. Akon isn’t the first male entertainer to go under the knife for cosmetic enhancement, with singers Tory Lanez and Tyga already open about their procedures.
