'Karen had deleted everything': Boomer Karen tries to screw over coworker after getting laid off, coworker gets revenge

It is so much easier to make a graceful exit at a company rather than a dramatic one. No matter how tempting it may be, it’s best to just be civil. That’s what this Boomer Karen learned the hard way after she violated the rules pertaining to her departure agreement with her former company.

This thread was posted to Reddit’s r/pettyrevenge subreddit by u/PM_Georgia_Okeefe, who shared that they had a tense relationship with Boomer Karen over an important work project. After Karen was let go, she signed an agreement confirming that she had handed over all the company files. However, the Redditor learned that she had “accidentally” deleted everything related to that project out of spite. When the Redditor confronted Karen about this, she sent an email back that ended up being the nail in her coffin, so to speak. Keep scrolling below to learn how the Redditor was able to use this exchange against her.

It’s also worth noting that some Redditors in the comments section were sensitive about the generalization that Karen’s technological incompetence was associated with her generation. While we agree that this is an unfair stereotype, considering everything that’s been said about millennials and Gen Z workers on Reddit, you can’t have it both ways, folks!
