Eagles’ Players Call out NFL to Address Coronavirus Safety

Eagles’ Players Ask NFL to Address Coronavirus Safety

This weekend several players from around the NFL took to social media to call out the league. It would seem that several players feel that the NFL hasn’t done enough in terms of addressing coronavirus safety for the upcoming season.

Who Called out the NFL & What They Have to Say

Carson Wentz, Zach Ertz, and Brandon Graham were just a few of the players from the Philadelphia Eagles’ that took part in this event. Other big names from around the league that also took to social media include Russel Wilson, Todd Gurly, and Drew Brees just to name a few.

It would seem that this event was in response to the NFL requiring players to return to training camp this upcoming week. Player’s have less than a day to respond, and those that do not attend the camp will be fined. Philadelphia Eagles’ TE, Zach Ertz, pointed out just a few of the many issues with the NFL’s plan, or lack thereof, to start the season.

As Ertz and so many other players have expressed, they want to play, but within reason. The league’s likely focused on profits and monetary gains as opposed to their own players’ safety. The athletes are the ones making the league possible so I believe they should have a major say or part in how the season will run this year.

    Final Thoughts

What do you guys have to say though?

Are players right for calling out the NFL? Do you believe the season will be ready to resume this Fall? And if so what do you think will be some of the necessary changes?
