Covid-19 Virus Death Toll Is Higher Then They Are Saying

    The Numbers Aren’t In

The corona virus case numbers have been going up within the past couple of weeks. Doctors are working their hardest to handle this situation, but even they have their limits. And the shortage of medical supplies has led to another issue behind the scenes.

The C.D.C has only been doing corona virus tests on patients that are currently alive. This means that anyone who shows up dead does not get tested, regardless of cause of death. The reason that doctors are doing this is because they area short on resources and what to be able to test as many living people as possible in order to stop the virus from spreading. Although their thinking is very logical, it does create a bigger issue. This gives an inaccurate count on how embedded the corona virus has become in the u.s population. This could lead to several problems.

Covid-19 Virus Death Toll Is Higher Then

The first being the public not treating this serious enough. If the actual numbers were able to be shown, the general public would more than likely treat this a lot more seriously. This would cause the virus rates to go down a lot faster before it becomes too late. The second issue is public panic. Because we do not know the exact number, members of the public might have more cases of anxiety, causing a mass panic. In situations such as this, it is extremely important to keep the public as calm as possible that way they are more compliant and can make this go along smoother. Hopefully doctors will get more kits to give us a more accurate number in the future.
