College Girls Get Petty Revenge on Toxic Roommates, Moving Out Unannounced and Taking Everything but the Kitchen Sink

What do you get when you cram 6 college girls into a tiny, off-campus house for a year? Drama. No matter which way you slice it, a group of that many females is going to fracture at some point, creating factions of opposition, passive aggression, and pettiness of Biblical scale. One woman named Claire recalls a time when her and her 5 other friends were all very close– during their junior year of college –but that was before they all moved in together and noticed that each other’s quirks were less fun when it meant sharing a space.

Naturally, there were early warning signs. They experienced a lot of the classic debacles in the beginning where two of the girls, Abby and Brooke, refused to contribute to purchasing any furniture or household goods, taking advantage of the other girl’s purchases and using everything they provided (couch, tables, tupperware, dishes, EVERYTHING). After the first red flag, things declined quickly. The snarky, useless girls, Abby and Brooke, started leaving passive aggressive notes on undone dishes, being angry when anyone got home after 9PM, and recruiting their boyfriends to harass the other girls in the house.

Finally, Claire and her four decent housemates decided that they would move. However, after they told the other two outsiders, things got WAY worse. Abby and Brooke started refusing their mail, dumping their wet laundry on the ground, they stopped doing chores, and stopped contributing to communal supplies and paper products. One weekend, when the two mean girls were out, the four got a call from their new landlord saying that they could move in that weekend if they wanted to, free of charge.

    So they planned a heist.

While the other girls were gone, they took all of their furniture, supplies, kitchenware, bathroom products, and even the lamps, leaving the house completely empty for when the toxic girls returned. It was like the Grinch stole Christmas. Once out, they received scathing texts from the others, but felt as if they had exacted petty revenge for the hell they were put through all year. In my opinion, that’s a job well done.
