It’s concert announcement season for the Bay Area, and although most of the biggest shows seem to take place at San Francisco’s Chase Center or Levi’s Stadium, Concord Pavilion just scored one of the most impressive hip-hop concerts of the year, scheduled for Aug. 26.

The massive 33-date “High School Reunion Tour,” clearly a 420-related pun, features a slate of hip-hop royalty. Snoop Dogg, whose late-career pivot to business tycoon has almost overshadowed his music, gets top billing. Wiz Khalifa, who has branched out recently into the cannabis industry, is set to perform as well.

However, Bay Area fans will likely be more excited about two local legends. Too $hort, who opened the Stern Grove season last year and recently had a street named after him in Oakland, is scheduled to perform. Berner — also a cannabis entrepreneur responsible for Cookies, dubbed the country’s most popular weed brand — rounds out the roster of stars. DJ Drama is set to be a special guest.

Tickets for the Live Nation-produced show will be available early for Citi cardholders Tuesday, March 7. General sale will begin Friday, March 10, at 9 a.m. More California shows include a stop at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center on Aug. 25 and a stop at Irvine’s FivePoint Amphitheatre on Aug. 27.
