Mia Khalifa and Slawn Star in New Collab Campaign From Outlander Magazine and PLACES+FACES

Mia Khalifa and Slawn are the stars of a new campaign that notably marks Outlander Magazine’s first-ever editorial.

The resulting haul of collaborative Outlander Magazine and PLACES+FACES images, all shot by Ciesay, sees both campaign stars outfitted in a number of highly coveted pieces including a Burberry helmet (complete with some painted-on additions from Slawn), some KidSuper selections, unreleased PLACES+FACES bit and more from Entire Studios, HYBRID & Bad Son.

See more below. Styling for the images was handled by Ari Chanoux.

In recent days, PLACES+FACES has hosted special throw downs in Brussels and Paris. Ahead of last year’s Halloween season, the brand released its Film Club IV collection featuring The Shining and American Psycho designs. The accompanying campaign imagery, fittingly, featured a full-costume tribute to Donnie Darko.

Slawn, meanwhile, is fresh off being enlisted as the latest artist selected to design the Brit Awards trophy.

“Sir David Adjaye, Tracey Emin, Sir Anish Kapoor, Sir Peter Blake, The Late Dame Zaha Hadid and Damien Hirst,” Slawn said of the honor. “These are a few of the legendary names who have previously designed the Brit Awards, And now Me, Olaoluwa, Slawn or Bobo, I still don’t even feel like this journeys been real, to be given this opportunity is a blessin. This for everyone who’s ever immigrated to the UK from their own country looking for opportunity and found it, I’m still that kid I was 5 years comin from Lagos.”

For Khalifa, the Outlander editorial marks a fitting follow-up to her headlines-spurring Paris Fashion Week appearances.
