Britney Spears Fans Call To Free Britney

Britney Spears says 'self-esteem problems' cause her to slouch

Why is the hashtag #freebritney trending?

Fans of Britney Spears have been speculating that she is being controlled under the grounds of her conservatorship.

Her fans are concerned about Britney’s life and freedom that she doesn’t have, they are using the hashtag to bring awareness to the situation.

Why does Britney Spears have a conservatorship?

A conservatorship is when someone is not in total control of her finances and other important life decisions.

Britney Spears has been under conservatorship, her father acting as her guardian for about 12 years now.

Britney Spears does not have any legal control over her estate or financial and personal assets. She also does not have any access to her own lawyer.

Britney originally got the conservatorship in 2008, because she was having public mental breakdowns. Her financial assets, estate, and personal assets are put in her father’s and lawyer’s discretion.

It has been extended until August 2020, her fans having concerned why she has been having a conservatorship for so long as she has been stable for a long time now.

What made fans start the hashtag again?
