Lecrae’s Says His Songs Come From His Own Personal Dairy

While rap music will never go out of style, most tracks do sound very similar to each other. It’s refreshing when an artist like Lecrae has something new to offer audiences. The Houston-based rapper speaks from personal experience rather than about materialistic things. Furthermore, Lecrae focuses more on his blessings than how many sports cars he has parked in his garage. While he shies away from the title “Christian Rapper” he’s certainly a rapper with a dedication to God’s word. Every verse he raps, sounds like a recording from his own personal dairy.

After listening to Houston-rapper Lecrae, audiences will feel as though they’ve read the emcee’s personal dairy. The 41-year-old tells his story through every verse. His songs contain tons of meaning that it’s hard not to want to listen. Much of that wisdom and experience stems from his rough childhood, where he was the victim of sexual abuse and neglect.

In his youth, the rapper led a life of crime, violence and drugs. Once hitting rock bottom, though, the rapper decided to turn his life around. He turned to God for guidance and eventually found his way back to salvation. While the now 41-year-old resembles a completely different person than before, he still very much struggles in life. Fortunately, he puts all his life hardships in a song. Those songs alone have touched millions of audiences everywhere, reason being why Lecrae has went on to become a Grammy-winning rap star.

Thus far, Lecrae has six albums, two mixtapes and five projects with his rap group he leads, 116 Clique under his belt. Not to mention, the star works as a spiritual advisor at a local church with his wife. The rapper certainly is a one-of-a-kind rapper.

Similar to his Pastor, Lecrae considered himself the type of leader who makes himself “available.”

More importantly, Lecrae notes that a leader leads by example and not just by barking orders. “He doesn’t have to tell people what to do. He inspires them to do it right alongside him,” Lecrae told the publication. The Grammy award-winning rapper certainly leads by example. He’s inspired thousands of fans with his personal stories weaved into rap music. The rapper’s own personal dairy seeps right in his song.

The 2021 NBA playoffs are among us and Philly is in it. This afternoon, Philadelphia 76ers take on the Washington Wizards in NBA playoffs. Joel Embiid and Russell Westbrook revive their rivalry for what will be a competitive, high octane game.

2021 NBA Playoffs: Odds are in their favor

Philadelphia’s defense is very strong giving them the edge over the Wizards. Wizards guards will have to come up with a new strategy because they aren’t going to bully this Philly team. Now, Joel Embiid is in great shape and has been working hard this year to improve his game. Embiid has become a stong defensive and offensive beast that should have no problem against the Washington’s guards. Fans are in agreement that this year could be Embiids year to take home MVP. The game should be a win for Philadelphia.

Gameplay

What do they need to do?

76ers need to limit transition opportunities which may mean slowing down and controlling the pace of the game. Embiid should get the ball often as he is strong defensively but also offensively, efficiency shoting 60% against Wizards. Embiid has averaged 30.0 PPG and 9.7 RPG. Ben Simmons needs to shoot agressively which is something he has struggled to do for some time now. Despite his shooting issues, Simmons has been a strong perimeter defender. Offense will be more of a struggle than defense and they should plan accordingly.

Ariana Grande Shares Message With Victims Of Manchester Bombings

Being, in the eye certainly has its advantages. Artists also encounter numerous obstacles, within their profession. Back in 2017, Ariana Grande made her journey to Europe for her “Dangerous Woman” Tour. However, it hadn’t been a pleasant experience. After her performance in Manchester, England, the singer became the victim of a violent terrorist bombing. The attack left several concert goers injured, some even dead. Since the terrorist bombing, Grande has healed and asked fans to do the same. Every year the singer honors the memory of those affected by the Manchester Bombing. This Saturday the 27 year old singer sent a heartfelt message to all the survivors of that dreadful attack.

It can be hard to move on with our lives after a traumatic event. Ariana Grande had a concert at Manchester Arena on May 22, 2017, during her Dangerous Woman tour. After the show, a bomb detonated in the foyer area just as 14,200 attendees exited the venue. On that frightful night, 500 people were left injured, and 22 victims died. At the time, authorities deemed the incident both a terrorist attack and a suicide bombing.

The aftermath of the terrorist attack led the singer to develop PTSD. Even in her ill mental state, the singer pushed on. She returned to Manchester to do a benefit concert for the victims of the attack. These days, she’s healing with the help of family and friends. She’s not yet recovered from the traumatic event but makes an effort to focus on the positive.

Even though she tries to move forward, Grande still honors the victims of the terrorist attack. This year marked the fourth anniversary of the Manchester bombing victims and Grande paid her respects via social media.

Furthermore, the “POV” singer shared a heartfelt message to fans about the traumatic event. “Grief is always with us, and our connection to it continues to change and manifest in various ways every day, throughout the year. … I understand that this anniversary will never be effortless. Just know that I am keeping you in my thoughts today,” the singer shared on her Instagram story on May 22. In continuation of the post, Grande also wrote a list of the victims of the Manchester bombing. We can only imagine how hard of a task it must be for the singer to talk about the terrorist attack.

Phinally!! Rhys gets his 100th homerun

Phinally!! Rhys gets his 100th Homerun

Despite the miscalled 100th homerun changed to a double in the May 2nd game, Rhys Hoskins still managed to make it to 100. Although, this one hit a little less climatically as that previous call where his teammates celebrated with him. At least, this happened in front of the homecrowd at Citizen’s Bank Park.

The 100th homerun mishap

Everything was on the line. Rhys thought he rescued his teamates during a crutial moment and made career history. Emotions were hightened. The previous 100th called that was changed to a double occurred on the game against the Mets. It would have been the game-tying, three-run home run to right field. It would have happened in the nineth with two outs recorded. Basically, the stuff baseball dreams were made of.

Eflin spoke about the emotions present in the dugout

“Immediately, we couldn’t tell because Rhys stopped at second and then he started running like he was rounding third for a homer,” Eflin said. “We freaked out… screaming…  hollering…going crazy in there, probably as much as the guys in the dugout. It’s just so crazy to know that baseball comes down to inches so many times.”

The official 100th Homerun

The call:

First pitch swinging, hammard it to left. Homerun number 100 for Rhys Hoskins. Finally.
