    3 Young NBA Stars On The Rise

    There are many young NBA stars in the league. But among the group of players who have just entered the league, there are definitely a few who stand out. Three players who have begun to play like or are soon to become elite stars include names such as Luka Doncic, Trae Young, and Ja Morant.

    Doncic Already Playing On Elite Level

    Out of young NBA stars, Luka Doncic really stands out among the rest. Doncic may only be playing in the 2nd season of his NBA career, but right now he is playing as good as anyone else in the league. At just 20-years-old so far this season Luka is averaging 30.6 PPG, 9.6 APG, & 9.9 RPG. These numbers are outstanding for anyone in the league to be putting up but especially so for someone so young.

    Currently, Luka is 3rd in the league in PPG, 2nd in APG, and 2nd in PER. Along with these impressive feats, Doncic is only the 3rd player along with Russel Westbrook and Oscar Roberston, in NBA history, to average over 30 PPG with a triple-double over the course of one month. Not only is Luka able to put up impressive numbers for himself but his play has also led to the Dallas Mavericks’ success. The Mavericks are currently 4th in the Western Conference with a record of 13-6.

    Young Playing Like An NBA Star

    During his first season in the NBA Young was able to put up impressive numbers of 19.1 PPG and 8.1 APG. These impressive feats led to Young being selected for the All-Rookie 1st Team 2019. Although the 2018-19 season is far from over Young has had impressive games so far this season. This can be seen by recent showings against the Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers where Young put up 37 and 49 points respectively.

    Trae Young is one of the most impressive guards in the league right now. Young is already playing like an NBA star. In his second year in the NBA Young has been able to improve in a number of categories such as PPG, RPG, APG, field goal percentage, and his 3-point percentage. So far this season Young ranks 4th in both assists and points in the league with 28.4 PPG and 8.4 APG.

    Ja Morant Set To Be An NBA Star

    During his time in college Ja Morant was able to play quite well for Murray State. During his 2nd and final year attending Murray State, Morant captured a number of impressive accolades. Examples of this can be seen by Morant leading the NCAA Division 1 Sports in assists, being named Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) Player of the Year, as well as winning and being named the MVP of the OVC Tournament.

    Ja Morant went on to be selected 2nd overall in the 2019 NBA Draft. Morant has yet to disappoint this season. When it comes to NBA rookies Morant is ranked first in PPG and APG. Morant has been doing quite well when it comes to scoring. So far this season Morant is averaging 18.6 PPG, 6.4 APG, 45.7 fg%, and 41 3p%.

    The NBA’s Future Looks Bright

    People all over America and even around the world love to watch the NBA. Thankfully for them, the NBA seems to be far from lacking when it comes to current and potential talent. Nowadays players just as young as 20 or 21-years-old are able to put out highlight plays or 20 plus point games like it’s nothing.

    Although there are a number of options to choose from when it comes to young players people such as Luka Doncic, Trae Young, and Ja Morant really go to stick out. These young players’ talents and abilities will allow them to compete and lead the league for years to come.
