A 48-second video clip from a German podcast has gone viral on X, capturing Wikipedia’s Jimmy Wales ending an interview abruptly.
Collin Rugg shared the excerpt on November 14, 2025. It shows the exchange that led to Wales walking off the set.

“All right, new episode of Young and Naive, I have a new guest. Who are you?”
Jung asks.
“I’m Jimmy Wales, founder of Wikipedia,”
Wales replies.
“You’re the founder or co-founder?”
Jung follows up.
“I don’t care. That’s the dumbest question in the world,”
Wales says.
“Really? Absolutely. There seems to be a dispute.”
“There’s no dispute. I don’t care. So yeah, say what you like. It doesn’t matter,”
Wales continues.
Jung presses:
“Well, isn’t that like when it comes to Wikipedia, a problem? You know, what are the facts?”
“Yeah. Well, it’s not a fact, it’s an opinion. So you can have whatever opinion you like,”
Wales responds.
“But for you, you’re the founder,”
Jung says.
“Can I just say again, it doesn’t matter. I’ve answered your question four times. I’m done,”
Wales declares.
He adds:
“Thank you. Thanks. What’s going on? It’s stupid. Don’t ask me stupid questions. How is that stupid? It was the first question. Yeah. All right. We’re done here.”
Jung notes:
