Barbadian pop star and entrepreneur Rihanna is expanding her Fenty empire to include more than just beauty products. Reports say that she has filed a trademark for a Fenty Kids line, which would cover clothing and accessories for newborns to toddlers.
Rihanna Files Trademark For Fenty Kids Clothing Line
According to reports from Highsnobiety, the singer filed for a trademark on January 20. This filing protects her name from being used by other companies, and it will likely help her launch her brand as soon as she has the funds to do so.
In addition to the makeup and skincare lines she launched under her Fenty brand, Rihanna also owns the Savage X Fenty lingerie line and is reportedly in the process of developing her own children’s line. She reportedly hinted at the possibility of creating a kids’ line in November after she and boyfriend A$AP Rocky welcomed their son.
The new filing covers a wide range of items, including “clothing, swimwear, footwear, and accessories like diapers and bibs.” It seems to be quite exhaustive, but that’s not surprising since Rihanna has a wealth of experience in the fashion business.
The Star Continues To Reinvent Herself
This news comes on the heels of her Savage X Fenty “Game Day” collection, which is already available for purchase online and at retailers. The limited-edition collection includes a hoodie, sweatpants, varsity jerseys, tops and beanies.
She recently hosted a three-day pop-up shop at her Savage X Fenty store in Los Angeles ahead of her Super Bowl performance. The collection was created with her longtime boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, and streetwear brand Mitchell & Ness.
Rihanna Takes To The SuperBowl LVII Halftime Stage
On February 12th, Rihanna will be performing the halftime show at this year’s Super Bowl and will be joined by her family. The event will also serve as her first live show in over five years. She has not performed in a live concert since 2014.
As expected, she’ll be wearing her famous hats. And, if you’re lucky, you might even catch her dancing to a rap song during the halftime show.
In her latest tweet, she announced that she’s collaborating with Apple Music to promote her upcoming Super Bowl performance. They’re launching an initiative called “Rihanna’s Road to Halftime” that will feature interviews with the artist, a playlist of her greatest hits, and new content.
She’ll also be releasing a new album and stadium tour this year. Leave it to Rihanna to keep her business thriving everyday.
