    Mary J. Blige To Be Inducted Into The Apollo Walk of Fame

    Mary J. Blige, the iconic Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, will be inducted into the prestigious Apollo Walk of Fame. The Apollo Theater recognizes legendary artists who have graced its stage over the past 87 years, and Blige joins a prestigious list of inductees such as Aretha Franklin, Quincy Jones, and Patti Labelle. A special plaque will be unveiled to commemorate Blige’s significant contributions to the culture, her enduring career, and international success.

    Blige’s connection with the Apollo Theater dates back to 1992 when she first appeared on “Showtime at the Apollo” with her performance of “You Remind Me.” She continued to showcase her talent on the show in subsequent years and even sold out her own concert at the theater in 2002.

    During the ceremony, Blige will share remarks alongside esteemed individuals like Apollo Theater Executive Producer Kamilah Forbes, Apollo Theater Board Chair Charles Phillips, and Billy “Mr. Apollo” Mitchell.

    The unveiling event is scheduled for Friday, May 28th at 10:00 a.m. It’s a free ceremony welcoming the public to celebrate the remarkable career of Mary J. Blige.
