Lance Rodriguez’s New Single “Light It Up” Is Captivating

One of the most proficient names on the Los Angeles music scene, Lance Rodriguez, recently released a stunning pearl single titled “Light It Up,” accompanied by his powerful vocals.

With an extremely pleasant vocal, the young singer joins his beautiful voice to a beat that highlights his full potential.

Lance Rodriguez chatted with us and answered our three distinctive questions. Check it out below.

HYPEFRESH: Let’s start by introducing ourselves. You know the basics, like your name, age, and where you’re from; you can share as much or as little as you’re comfortable with.

Lance Rodriguez: Hi, my name is Lance Rodriguez. I am 27 years old and was born in Clovis, California, where I spent my childhood. At 18, I moved out to pursue music.

Music is my therapy, a safe place to express myself and continually discover more about myself. I have always been more into live shows than recording. This past year, I recorded my first commercial-grade body of work, “Dark Light.”

Since then, it has opened many doors. My subsequent work is projected to be released this summer. The shows are growing, and I’m very excited about the future. Stay tuned!

HYPEFRESH: Can you tell us about your new “Light It Up” single?

Lance Rodriguez: “Light It Up” is a song written from the standpoint of someone not looking for a relationship but who has found a connection worth fighting for. I am now living with her, and we have been together officially for over a year.

HYPEFRESH: What do you like most about being a music artist?

Lance Rodriguez: Being inspired by artists like Bob Marley and J. Cole, my music is built around my message. “Dark Light” culminates experiences and vices (social media, drugs and addiction, lifestyle, etc.). Eventually led to my overarching message of “You are enough.” In today’s colonial media-driven times, we often compare too much and base our self-worth on it. “Love Yours” (J. Cole)
