Kanye West Phone Snatch and Toss Incident: Charges Dropped

Kanye West will not be facing charges for an incident in which he snatched and tossed a phone back in January, as reported by TMZ. The situation unfolded when the artist from Donda confronted a female paparazzi who was recording him from her car as he departed from his daughter North West’s basketball game.

The situation escalated into a physical altercation, leading the Yeezy guru to snatch her phone and throw it into the street. Nevertheless, according to recently acquired documents from TMZ, the phone incurred only slight damage, and the woman opted not to pursue charges against Kanye.

According to TMZ, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office will not pursue battery charges against Kanye West in connection with the incident. The woman involved declined to press charges, and documents obtained from the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office confirm this decision.

Amid the occurrence, West was departing from his daughter North’s basketball game when he engaged with individuals in a car who were capturing him on their phone. He seized the phone from the woman’s hand and discarded it onto the street.

The incident’s video quickly went viral, capturing the moment when Kanye West seized the phone and flung it away, while the woman contended that she was recording him due to his celebrity status. The incident took place near a sports complex where his daughter North had a basketball game.

This isn’t the first time Kanye West has faced legal implications for a similar incident. Back in 2009, he faced battery charges for a comparable occurrence in Los Angeles.
