Da Baby Makes Music for Black Lives Matter
Several artists have been releasing music in response to most recent acts of police brutality, as well as the ensuing protests. This includes J. Cole’s “Snow on Tha Bluff” and Conway the Machine’s “Front Lines”. Da Baby has joined these artists, with a Black Lives Matter remix of his track “Rockstar” featuring Roddy Richh.
Give the Black Lives Matter “Rockstar” ft. Roddy Richh a Listen
The song has been a big hit, topping the charts for the past two weeks. Give the track a listen below.
You can hear Da Baby rapping about the injustices that he has faced by cops from a young age and the current protests that things like this have led to. The lyrics go well over the melodic beat well. I am not always the biggest fan of some new rapper’s flow, but Roddy Rich and Da Baby’s style compliment this track well.
Final Thoughts
It is nice to see artists such as Da Baby stepping up and using their platform to point out the racial injustices within our country. Rappers and other celebrities must take this time to use their voices in order to call for change.
What do you guys have to say though?
Are you a fan of the music that Da Baby has been making for the Black Lives Matter movement? And what are some other songs that also talk about the Black Lives Matter movement and racial injustices within America?
