Everyone knows that bands don’t always last long. One member usually goes off on their own turf to pursue a solo career while the others disappear from the spotlight. Rising sister-duo Chloe x Halle just stepped out onto the music scene and already have gone their separate ways. The “Grown-ish” actors decided to have separate Instagram accounts and it’s left fans confused. After a few months, the sisters finally broke their silence on just why decided to make separate Instagram accounts.
The Success of Chloe X Halle
It’s never a good thing when a band breaks up, especially when they’ve experienced so much success together. R&B duo Chloe x Halle are on their way to become rising stars. The sisters remind us of a little of the known sister-duo, gospel group Mary Mary from 1998. The two groups have several similarities in common. Though, Mary Mary didn’t have someone like Beyonce mentoring them.
Under Queen Bey’s leadership, Chloe x Halle will surely succeed. The duo rose to stardom back in 2012 and 2013 after doing song covers and various projects with Disney. In the following years, they managed to release a few EP’s and albums such as Ungodly Hour that received positive reviews. Additionally, their body of work has snagged a 2021 Grammy nomination. Obviously, the two have achieved a multitude of success together. Like every great band or duo, though, they’ll eventually break up.
Why They Made Separate Instagram Accounts
Given all the major success Chloe x Halle have experienced thus far, it seemed unlikely that the two would ever spilt up. They’re so good together. However, the R&B duo did the unthinkable after creating two separate Instagram accounts at the start of the new year. Now the “Grown-ish” actors are breaking their silence on just why they decided to have two different accounts.
In an interview with Angela Yee on The Breakfast Club, the sisters explained that they created separate accounts due to their different locations. Digging a little deeper, though, the two wanted fans to see their individual personalities. Hopefully, the separate Instagram accounts doesn’t lead to them splitting up in the near future.
