The lifestyle of a celebrity isn’t always as glorious. For instance, their bad behavior tends to always make the front page of the newspaper. Unfortunately, for rap stars it’s a constant norm. Rodarius Marcell Green, famously known as rapper Rod Wave, was recently arrested in Florida for a domestic violence charge. Unfortunately, the rapper may face several years behind bars.
The Police Tracked Down The Florida Rapper
Furthermore, the Tampa Bay Times first reported that police took Rod Wave into custody on May 2 for a domestic battery charge. In Particular, police charged the “Heart On Ice” rapper with battery by strangulation.
Moreover, police arrested the rapper in St. Petersburg outside of Osceola County, in Pinellas County. Initially, authorities stopped him at a traffic stop but his troubles didn’t end there. Clearly, the police tracked the “Street Runner” artist down, given that he had a warrant out for his arrest. Currently, jail records show that he’s being held at the Pinellas County Jail on the account of the battery charge. Things clearly aren’t going well for the rapper. At this time, police haven’t identified the alleged victim.
Rod Wave Will Have To Do The Time
Unfortunately, Wave will have to serve some time in jail. His criminal charge, a third degree felony, involves a max sentencing of five years in jail. Additionally, Wave will be on probation for five years and have to pay a whopping $5,000 in fines. At this point, Rod Wave will go through a total of 10 years in misery. Making matters worse, jail records show no attorney has been selected for the rapper at this time.
Rod Wave definitely has hard times ahead of him.
