A viral post circulating on X Tuesday claimed that 13-year-old North West had shared an Instagram message declaring she no longer felt part of the Kardashian family after an alleged breakup.
The claim originated from an account posting a screenshot that appeared to show text from the account “northwest.” The message read in part: “yall are happy now he finally broke up with me I wish I was never part of this sick a$$ family I regret my existence here so far I’m concerned I’m an orphan.”
The accompanying caption paraphrased a portion of the text as North saying she felt “like an orphan at this point.” The post also included a photo of North with a young man and asked whether a 13-year-old should be in a relationship.
No verified evidence has emerged that North West posted the message. Similar screenshots and claims about the teenager’s personal life have circulated in recent weeks and been identified as altered or fabricated.
North West was born June 15, 2013, in Los Angeles to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, also known as Ye. The couple share four children and finalized their divorce in 2022. North has grown up in the public eye through her parents’ reality television work and has recently pursued a music career.
In May 2026 she released her debut EP, N0rth4evr. On Sept. 5 she headlined her first solo concert at The Vic Theatre in Chicago. Both of her parents attended the show, watching from separate sections of the venue.
In an interview published in the autumn 2026 issue of Dazed, North said she was not interested in dating. “Everyone’s in love with boys, vaping and doing all kinds of bad stuff,” she told the magazine. “All I want is blue hair and piercings.”
Earlier this month, separate viral posts alleged North was dating rapper Ken Carson, then 26, and that her parents had cut her allowance over the relationship. Those claims were accompanied by altered selfies and purported text exchanges. Multiple outlets reported that the images had been manipulated and that no evidence supported the dating rumors. North’s own recent public statements contradicted the narrative.
North maintains a supervised Instagram presence and has used the platform to discuss her music and performances. Neither she nor her parents have issued any statement confirming a romantic relationship or the emotional message that circulated Tuesday.
The latest claim fits a pattern of unverified screenshots and gossip about North’s private life that spread rapidly on social media before being challenged by users who noted inconsistencies in the images and by reporting that found no supporting evidence.
