Raja Jackson, the 25-year-old son of UFC legend Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, was arrested on September 18, 2025, for a vicious attack on professional wrestler Syko Stu at a wrestling event late last month. The incident, which left Stu severely injured and sparked outrage online, has drawn intense scrutiny due to its unprovoked nature and Raja Jackson’s connection to a combat sports icon.
The assault took place on August 23, 2025, at the KnokX Pro Wrestling Academy in Sun Valley, California, during the “Knox Experience” event. Earlier that day, a backstage altercation saw Stu, whose real name is Stuart Smith, strike Raja Jackson over the head with a beer bottle.
While Stu believed it was a playful gesture and apologized, Raja felt disrespected. Promoters offered Raja a chance to settle the score with a scripted “run-in” during Stu’s match. Instead, Raja went rogue.
He stormed the ring, suplexed Stu to the mat, and unleashed over 20 punches to the head and face while Stu lay unconscious. Another wrestler who tried to intervene was also struck. The entire incident was livestreamed on Raja’s Kick channel, where he openly declared his intent to “fuck up a pro wrestler” before the attack. The video, which went viral with millions of views, led to Raja’s immediate ban from the streaming platform.
Stu, a U.S. Army veteran with PTSD, suffered devastating injuries: a fractured maxilla, jaw trauma, a lacerated lip, lost teeth, and blood coming from his ears. He was hospitalized for days and is now recovering at home in Apple Valley, California.
Raja Jackson was taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department and booked on a felony battery charge. He remains behind bars at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, held on a $50,000 bond. Court details, including an arraignment date, are still pending, but the case could see enhancements due to the severity of Stu’s injuries and his unconscious state during the attack.
The wrestling community and fans have rallied behind Stu. His wife, Contessa Patterson, launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical bills and lost income, raising over $222,000 from more than 6,200 donors.
KnokX Pro Wrestling condemned the attack, calling it a “selfish, irresponsible act of violence.” Meanwhile, Rampage Jackson addressed the incident in a recent interview, admitting his son’s actions were “bad judgment” but urging leniency, suggesting community service and anger management over a lengthy prison sentence.
The viral video and Raja Jackson’s ties to a famous father have fueled heated discussions online, with fans demanding justice for Stu and debating safety in indie wrestling.
