Shaboozey‘s brand new album, “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going,” will be released on all good music platforms this Friday, May 31. Indeed, these songs are a compilation that narrates Shaboozey’s emerging journey as an artist and evolution in music.

Where I’ve Been is the album that has been years in the making, featuring all the standout singles such as “Let It Burn,” with the soulful tunes taking in the Shaboozey trademark of tones and emotive blends of Alt-Country and Hip-Hop influences—indeed, with “Vegas,” his earworm magnum opus, and “Anabelle,” a haunting heartbreak track that shows how Shaboozey can tell a story.

And here’s the album tracklist:

  1. Horses & Hellcats
  2. “A Bar Song (Tipsy)”
  3. “Last of My Kind” ft. Paul Cauthen
  4. “Anabelle”
  5. “East Of The Massanutten”
  6. “Wides
  7. “Let It Burn”
  8. “My Fault” featuring Noah Cyrus

The album will also feature diverse voices: Noah Cyrus, BigXThaPlug, and Paul Cauthen. Fans are already hyped by the recently dropped album cover art and the tracklist as they pump up for this sonic journey.

This is a music career that Shaboozey did have, with his credit finally appearing on the Billboard 200 country album by Beyoncé in March for the song “Spaghetti” under the name “Cowboy Carter.” This threw him into the limelight, making him a household name in the music business.

Shaboozey entered the music scene in 2014. According to his official discography, some of his major works include his debut single, “Jeff Gordon,” his album work titled “Lady Wrangler,” and his sophomore album, “Cowboys Live Forever, Outlaws Never Die.” His song “Start a Riot” hit the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse soundtrack with Duckworth in 2018. He had his most significant break to date in 2024 when he got to work on two songs for Beyoncé’s eighth studio album, “Cowboy Carter.”.

Shaboozey’s music calls upon influences from as vast and varying places as hip-hop, country, rock, and Americana. He cites influences like the Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin; others are similar to Martin Scorsese’s film Taxi Driver. Other influences include Fela Kuti, Clipse, Roger Waters, the Backstreet Boys, Pharrell, Missy Elliott, Lead Belly, Johnny Cash, and the White Album.

Shaboozey’s collaboration with Beyoncé boosted his career and contributed to the recognition of several rising Black country artists featured on the project. This collaboration is a testament to Shaboozey’s talent and unique blend of country and hip-hop music.

“Where I’ve Been” by Shaboozey is not one of those albums that are out there in the market; it talks about its creative process and more towards the goodwill of his fans. He uses this to write tight verses for his listeners, bringing that personal touch that defines him within the industry.

Gaten Matarazzo Recalls Fan’s 40-Year-Old Mom’s Crush Since He Was 13

Netflix’s “Stranger Things” young star Gaten Matarazzo has just had what we might call an awkward and somewhat creepy fan encounter. It happened at a convention when a woman in her 40s confessed to getting a crush on him when he was 13.

Matarazzo was recounting a series of memorable convention stories while appearing as a guest on the podcast “Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum” and went on to say that “this woman in her 40s said honestly to him, point-blank, [I’ve had] ‘I’ve had a crush on you since you were 13.'”I’m like, ‘That’s gross. ‘”.

Yes, although he might initially have thought that she meant he was an adorable child, she could have immediately corrected herself and said, “I’m aware of the age difference, which threw Matarazzo when he then realized it appeared that her 13-year-old daughter was in the room all along.”

This made the daughter react with stunning, “Mom, what the fuck?” Matarazzo, on his part, was taking it all in strides. In this awkward moment, he only managed to thank and appreciate their coming. Matarazzo’s mother was right there to make the incident more awkward.

“That’s the most hilarious thing to say,” Matarazzo responded to the girl’s daughter-like reaction. ”Shameful as hell for that girl.

This wasn’t the only weird experience Matarazzo has had during cons. He and Rosenbaum also spoke rather nonchalantly about those inappropriate “butt grabs” that do happen at times in photo ops.

Matarazzo began his “Stranger Things” role at 13 and watched as the show exploded into a Netflix sensation that continues to this day. He also returned to the Great White Way, where he started his career in “Honor Society.”.

Still, though “Stranger Things” has afforded him financial security most actors can only dream of, Matarazzo finds himself at peace with the looming end of the show. “I’m very okay with understanding that ‘Stranger Things’ will beyond very likely be the biggest thing I will ever do and will most likely be the thing I’m remembered for,” he said.

“I am so cool with that as long as it facilitates happiness going forward, security, and more work. What the hell else could I ask for?” Matarazzo is all grown up now and doing some film and TV work. He seems to take it all in stride, as one must, but at least he has a great reminder in his story of the challenge of being famous at such an early age.

Matarazzo’s career—from his one-day season on “Stranger Things” to now—is, in some ways, a story of sheer resilience and talent combined. His story proves the awkward and uncomfortable situations fame brings. Still, it also pits awkward and painful situations as equal to the lengths to which it can, in turn, open doors for a great opportunity. As Matarazzo put it, what else could I ask for?

Ryan Garcia Challenges Jake Paul as Mike Tyson’s Replacement!

The embattled boxer Ryan Garcia has emerged as a surprise entrant to replace Mike Tyson in the upcoming fight with Jake Paul. The news follows a Tyson health scare on a plane that sent shock waves through the boxing world and cast doubt over the showpiece fight due to take place on July 20.

Tyson, the 57-year-old former heavyweight champion, started vomiting and had a headache as soon he landed after his ulcer flared up, turning him to be lightheaded on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. Naturally, this incident led to speculation about whether the fight would go forward as scheduled. In the middle of this confusion, Garcia who had tested positive for PEDs after his fight with Devin Haney not too long ago found a way from social to reach Jake Paul. In a direct message, Garcia offered himself as a potential replacement if Tyson couldn’t participate.

Now, not everything about this is risk free for Garcia‘s challenge to Paul. Despite the huge weight disparity Paul/Nate would have feasted if this was real, fighting a prime age boxer in the form of Garcia still has to be scary for a fight virgin like Paul. Garcia, though, has said he is prepared to replace Tyson his fight against Jones Jr., which could make the contest a little more interesting.

Despite what Garcia says, To of the undercard’s main attractions was dismissed by Jake Paul as a nonissue Saturday night during an event in Hollywood, Fla., when he assured fans there had been no changes to the boxers’ plans for their bout. “Three, two or one positive test and this fight is off,” Wilder said. “This is what everyone wants.” ”Paul also tweeted slightly after Garcia had sent out his post.

For now, the Jake Paul vs. Tyson bout still stands as of writing. The man has his people claiming he’s all good… and a-ok. But it has certainly spiced up this weekend’s match-up. Will Garcia ever see an opportunity to enter the ring, or will Tyson be fine in time for their fight? Only time will tell.

In the sport of boxing, a game where every punch is an unpredictable event just waiting to happen. And while we all wait for more on this, the only thing that is clear—the Mike Tyson vs. Paul fight is even more interesting with a surprise challenge from Garcia.

Busta Rhymes Ex-Security Guard Claims Rapper Requested Male Escorts in VIP

0

Busta Rhyme’s recent birthday was marred by strange accusations from his around-the-way security guard, Big Homie C.C; in that month of the bash, Big Homie C.C. Participated in a surprise interview where he launched accusations against him, branding him a “super zest monster,” asking for “fun boys” as companions every time they go out to party. Yet, these were huge claims with no backing.

“Deep down, Big Homie C.C. told SOHH, he believes Busta Rhymes ‘hates’ women and has ‘flipped out’ on many of his female fans for trying to do nothing but touch him. Not to mention, he says he’s even seen Busta pull a man into his VIP section.”

Busta Rhymes has not reacted to these revelations and enjoys his birthday with no worries. This has made fans and the entire music industry abuzz with questions.

The law is nothing new to him. Earlier, he had been embroiled in other legal hassles of accusations. In December 2006, a former driver to Rhymes, Eddie Hatchett, had filed a complaint accusing the rapper of assaulting him over unpaid wages. Hatchett had claimed Rhymes’ bodyguards physically restrained him while Rhymes battered him by punching and kicking him in the face.

The music business is all about whispers and theories: Was Big Homie C.C trying to call a bluff on a dark secret, or is it all just a publicity stunt? The truth isn’t out there, more so because, with no response from Busta Rhymes himself and no evidence, the truth isn’t out there.

Camila Cabello Confirms Double Drake Feature on “C,XOXO” Dropping June 28th!

Camila Cabello is set to make a significant statement with her highly anticipated LP, “C,XOXO,” which is slated to drop on June 28. The album is already creating a buzz, thanks to the double feature by none other than the legendary Drake!

In an interview with Billboard, Camila talked about the creative process of making the album. The first song, “Hot Uptown,” was born from a land filled with passion for Miami and its music. Coming together was almost something natural. The respect, coupled with similar visions of what to create together, predestined the duo to make something better.

But that’s not even the most surprising part! The interlude “Uuugly,” another two-minute track crammed into the album right after “Hot Uptown,” features a guest verse from Drake. This one is of a somewhat different taste, however, for he will mix his voice with the synth beats and that of Camila.

When asked why she was driven to write a song for Drake, Camila smiled: “I just wanted to hear Drake on my album. I love that for me. It’s like this rebellious mood—’ Who says I can’t do that?’ That’s Drake talking his s–t.

The two were spotted together in the Turks and Caicos in December 2023, leading to rumors that they were becoming quite an item. With this context, the Caribbean feel of the piece becomes alive: a rumor dispelled, back to the music.

“I LUV IT” features Jasper Harris, who shared with Cabello during the album-cutting sessions a rendition of the insights, with “UGLY” featuring a Playboi Carti. He, for one, says Drake wanted to feature one other thing on the album, and in the end, it is a 2-minute interlude showing his quirky style and lyrical prowess.

“C,XOXO” goes further than the Drake features. The album features guests like City Girls, The Dream, and BLP Kosher, among others. But most importantly, the most significant difference here is that Camila has written everything: the lyrics and line melodies. It’s what she says is a cohesive body of work and, really, authentically her.

The album also includes previously released singles “I Luv It” with Playboi Carti and “He Knows” with Lil Nas X. With these many crazy collaborations, “C, XOXO” might have a very exciting album.

In essence, it sounds like this time around, Camila was given the general encouragement just to take risks, not give a f*ck, and do whatever the f*ck she wanted with this record. We are here for her new vibe that screams baddie with the flossy energy statement.

So, mark your calendars because on June 28th, the magical meal cooked by the legendary Camila Cabello and Drake shall be served to you!

Caught on Camera: 8-ft. Transparent Alien Haunt Las Vegas Yard (Expert Says It’s Real!)

In April 2023, a family in Las Vegas reported an unusual event. They claimed to have seen something “not human” in their backyard. The family described the creature as a “tall, skinny alien creature with greenish color,” about 8 to 10 feet tall.

The video was uploaded on YouTube in June 2023 by a Las Vegas teen identified as Angel Kenmore. He claimed that he had recorded an encounter with an alien in his backyard in May of that year.

In the original video, Kenmore described seeing a green light falling from the sky before the encounter. This sight appeared to have been captured by police body camera footage.

The video shows Angel Kenmore and several other family members walking into the yard to investigate and then fleeing after coming face-to-face with what they claim were extraterrestrials. The story has been fiercely debated since the streak of light lit up the Las Vegas sky late April 30, 2023. At least 21 people across the eastern California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah reported seeing the glowing green light.

The captured video has been analyzed by Scott Roder, a veteran crime scene recreation expert. Using his expertise and motion tracking software, Roder analyzed the video and stated that he is convinced there were two creatures creeping around the family’s Las Vegas yard that night. He said, “All of our results came back as authentic. There’s no editing. That is an original video.” Scott Roder also said artifacts within the video showed the creature in it had used some kind of technology to hide its appearance.

Cloaking technology is a hypothetical or fictional stealth technology that can cause objects to be partially or fully invisible to parts of the electromagnetic (EM) spectrum.

The police investigation was reportedly unable to determine whether the two events are connected. However, the incident did lead to calls for photo analysis and forensic experts to step up and scrutinize the evidence.

Musicians Who Prove Success Doesn’t Require Drugs

Rocking the Stage Straight and Sober: Musicians Who Redefine Success

Forget the cliché of the over-the-top Rockstar. In this vein, legendary musicians shred guitars, bellow out vocals, and stay clean at the top of the charts. Theirs are stories revealed as a power chord to new generations, proof that wild creativity and reigning on charts can happen just fine without substance use.

Headbanging with Discipline: The Unfiltered Rise to Fame

If the stereotype of the drugged-up musician isn’t precisely déjà vu all over again, backstage reality is pretty far removed from it. The great empires of legendary artists were created without ever sticking a needle in their arms or drinking a shot. Their stories shatter this myth of artistic brilliance needing chemical assistance.

The Iron Fist of Rock: Henry Rollins Punches Through Stereotypes

Look at Henry Rollins, the forceful frontman of Black Flag. Renowned for live affairs, extremely firm and belligerent, and lyrics to match, Rollins always preaches for clean living. Sobriety for him isn’t only in music; he’s an activist, and his radio programs have established his authority. Rollins is the bold contradiction to the standard rock star mold. He’s a pro alive, a thing to discipline and integrity—simply all rolled up into one.

The Daemon with Another Kind of Fire: Gene Simmons Unmasks Success

Gene Simmons was the legendary “Demon” from Kiss, and he wasn’t just about blowing fire on stage. It was a career that was drug-free, alcohol-free, and, by all means, cigarette-free, set into motion by his Holocaust survivor mother, who drilled heartily into his respect for life and good health. It continues to characterize an improbable career of many voices and much coloring; personal history can shape an artist.

High Voltage Reaches Maximum Clean Energy: Angus Young Gives No Sign of Sobriety

Angus Young, the slack-jawed brilliant guitarist of AC/DC, has sweated his way through a career with only pure talent and hard work. Waking up every day without cracking any clichéd rock star indulgence is indeed what kept Young on an even keel of creativity and energy, night after ungiving night, leaving audiences electrified. Proof? Well, Back in Black is the second all-time best-selling album, showing that rock and roll doesn’t need a chemical kick.

Living Proof: A Sober Chorus of Legends

Rollins, Simmons, and Young are not alone. Bruce Springsteen, Ted Nugent, Frank Zappa, Roger Daltrey, Alice Cooper, and Buddy Guy represent just a few of the many music legends who found a way to show it was possible to build brilliant careers without becoming ensnared in the cycle of addiction. The collective legacy therein speaks volumes in its simplicity: great music and sobriety are not mutually exclusive.

From the Dumps to the Dream: Recovery Beyond Rehabilitation

The path to sobriety was not always that direct for some artists. Not everyone is so lucky, and a few musicians have supposedly really struggled with drug addiction. Stories of Trey Anastasio, Jason Isbell, and Steven Tyler all tell of a life troubled with addiction. All overcame it. All of their stories are of inspiration and transformation, thus portraying the positive impact of living clean on his personal life and career.

Encouraging the Next Generation: A New Tune for Success

Beyond these, musicians are more than just a hitmaker; in fact, they are hitting the story. Choosing to live a drug-free life destroys any glamorization of drug abuse in the industry. Their stories can follow another artist to lead a life biting their craft without using crutches, hence encouraging fans to get to appreciate the music in its most actual essence and not the lifestyle that’s usually associated with it. A Symphony of Hope: Leaving a Legacy of Sobriety

In a world all too ready to celebrate excess, this is a welcome perspective from some of the most talented and committed people on today’s musical scene. Their successes prove how tenacious such virtues as discipline, integrity, and raw artistry are. These will be the future generations in the music business, not only to pick up their instruments but to run with their dreams while staying straight and narrow toward a healthy, sober life.

Eminem Pulls a Magic Trick with David Blaine to Promote “Houdini”

Eminem announces his new single ‘Houdini’ in a FaceTime call with magician David Blaine. It is dated the 29th of May, 2024. In that said call, Eminem needed Blain’s help with something associated with magic. Headed by the title ‘Houdini,’ the camera pans in and out of a screen recording that reads “5.31.24”, further confirming the song’s release this Friday, May 31.

In the video, Eminem asked Blaine, “How far can we go with this magic? Like, can we do a stunt or something?”. Then, after sipping some wine, Blaine began to eat the glass. Eminem commented, “Well, for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear. ”

Rumors Associated with the Song “Houdini” It is perceived that the song ‘Houdini’ was inspired by Harry Houdini, who, like Blaine, was an escape artist, illusionist, and stunt performer. There are speculations that Eminem’s last trick message is a nod to the upcoming album being the last for his alter ego. Alexander Wang’s Edgy Campaign Features Celebrity Lookalikes

Alexander Wang has made a bold move with the launch of his new campaign. The famous designer has realized the power of celebrities, but he has decided not to go the traditional way. Rather than hiring the real celebrities and paying them, Wang has opted for their lookalikes from Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Kylie Jenner for his new campaign for the Ricco bag.

The campaign, well-promoted, showcases these celebrity doppelgängers posing with the black crossbody bag. The studded-bottom Ricco bag with the embossed “Alexander Wang” logo strap is the highlight of the advertisements. The video campaign starts with a lookalike of Grande opening the Ricco bag. The scene then shifts to other impersonators, including those of Swift and Jenner, followed by a Beyoncé double. Each celebrity doppelgänger is seen flaunting the black crossbody bag, complete with a studded bottom.

The official Instagram account for Alexander Wang captioned the video campaign as “100 percent certified authentic,” leaving the idea that the brand is still focused on authenticity and originality. Philosophically, though, the campaign has been met with mixed responses from both fans and critics alike.

The use of lookalikes gives an element of mystery and intrigue to this campaign. It is unclear if this is a real strategy or simply a cost-effective strategy. In any case, it has built buzz and people are talking. The campaign uses doppelgängers to simulate celebrity presence, which creates intrigue and conversation within the fashion world.

The Ricco bag is a new design from Alexander Wang based on the original Rocco bag, which was launched in 2009. Crafted in “primal” lambskin leather, the Ricco bag shares the original Rocco’s edgy sensibility with textured leather and the brand’s have-to-have-it signature trapezoidal-shaped studs. The hardware has been rejiggered in aluminum, making the 30% lighter than the ponderous Rocco. The bag is available in $850 and $1,050 small and medium sizes, respectively. The bag can be worn crossbody or as a shoulder bag, and is adorned with two logo-embossed straps. The medium flap bag is feature-filled with a twill-lined main compartment, a laptop compartment.

This campaign represents Wang’s inventive way of marketing, where it also often collaborates with celebrities, as in previous campaigns and initiatives. It’s a curious yet sparse design that dares to defy to a guttural extent the status quo. It’s the ultimate dichotomy of form and function. The bag could be purchased via the Alexander Wang official website.

3 Powerful Female Singers Who Make Bad Neighbors

The Price of Fame: When Pop Divas Become Noise Nightmares

The world feels on top of the rouge looking, gritty behaving divas singing their way up to success. For their more unfortunate neighbors, the view is much less luxurious. Pop royalty, Madonna, Christina Aguilera and Rihanna have more than once been thwarted by their hamlets due to the debauchery and disorder brought about by their extravagant lives.

Queen of Pop, Queen of Noise? Madonna’s Upper West Side Woes

If one were to say a word about the entirety of New York City’s Upper West Side, it would be ‘artistic.’ That said, even artful expression has to know limits, especially for loud, late-night dance rehearsals. The Queen of Pop has been a continued bother of residents who are sick of the never-ending noise coming from her apartment. Everything went south when, in 2016, some neighbors sued, charging Madonna with blatantly breaking the building’s rules. The ‘Like a Prayer’ singer wasn’t just pushing the confines of artistry with her daily rehearsals; she was also turning her apartment into an unofficial studio, a cardinal sin against the co-op board’s rules.

In a development that further inflamed matters, for some neighbors, she was not a full-time resident but was seemingly in violation of one subletting restriction or another. “Living next to her is like living next to a nightclub,” one resident said, summing the feelings of those wanting an everyday existence. Madonna might be going to court, and the neighbors complaining in other halls, but her commitment to making a ruckus late at night in the name of art hasn’t waned.

From Genie in a Bottle to Party Animal: Christina Aguilera’s Mulholland Mischief

But half a country away, another pop princess is also struggling in her luxurious Mulholland Estates homestead, with an almost identical problem to that which plagues Britney Spears. Her widely journaled penchant for wild, raucous parties notwithstanding, Christina Aguilera could do far worse than the overall lousy reputation with which the Mulholland estate that she calls home is becoming associated. Her allegedly out-of-control shindigs are not precisely what the other residents of her prominently exclusive Mulholland Estates describe as “calm.”

He reached a fever pitch in 2016, as Aguilera hosted a titanic charity event at her abode. Noble were her intentions, but memories of past unruly parties—none less so than the exceptionally raucous Halloween bash only a year prior—had neighbors bracing for anything but the best. And, their fears were not without any root, as the charity event eventually devolved into an unannounced late-night party, the music during which became unbearable for the passengers.

Angry shouts could be heard saying, “We moved here for peace, not for frequent parties.” The Aguilera’s partying does not endear their neighbors to her sense of community and harmony. Though purportedly for the benefit of local causes, the noise and commotion of some have defied her relations with the neighborhood.

As the Diamonds Could Sparkle, They Couldn’t Silence the Sound: Rihanna’s Pacific Palisades Predicament

It’s not hard to see how Rihanna’s one-time pad in Pacific Palisades played to a script. Her love of late-night partying and loud music didn’t generally endear the pop star to neighbors hoping to enjoy some relative peace. The problems went well beyond the actual noise. Rihanna was also constantly targeted by paparazzi and fans, whose presence in the area contributed to unwanted media attention around her home. One tenant summed it up well: “It was like living next to a tourist attraction.” It was a relentless din that had fundamentally changed the tenor of a once-quiet neighborhood, with the byproducts being increased conflicts and deepening resident animosities.

The Delicate Dance of Fame and Community

This is the tale of the life of Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and Rihanna: the cautionary tale through which these inevitable clashes play out. Celebrity lifestyles of the rich come up against the desire to live in a quiet and people-friendly neighborhood. These stars have the talent that leads to success, which is accompanied by fame, benefits, and perks. Quests for late-night entertainment and activities of personal enjoyment usually come on behalf of the well-being of many of their less-famous neighbors. Still, it is straddling a tightrope: the quest for fame versus peace in the community, and these stories bring a unique perspective to the face behind the celebrity living next door. Count most in contrast to the dazzling stage performance, many villagers with their mutual respect and consideration. Maybe a little less “Like a Prayer” practice and more consideration for the neighbors could go a long way toward that end.

Judgment Day for ‘king’ DIDDY as Diddy Accusations Head to Grand Jury.

The probe into Sean “Diddy” Combs has now ascended to include allegations of sex trafficking and allegations of sexual abuse. A good deal of the activity was directed at Diddy’s residences in Los Angeles and Miami in March 2024 by Department of Homeland Security Investigations into Counterfeit Trafficking Operations, and this activity was part of the larger criminal investigation. The raid was, reportedly, supposed to have unearthed evidence for over a half dozen civil suits filed against Combs which include serious allegations of sexual misconduct and coercion.

Several days after that, the police deposed several people who are parties to the civil suits against Diddy. Again, these depositions were in the context of the entire body of testimony, and the complainants were warned that they might be called upon to testify about their allegations sometime in the future before a New York City grand jury. The jury would have to make a determination if they should bring criminal charges against Combs.

In the meantime, however, this week, federal agents have been contacting some of the subjects they identified in the video footage seized during the raids, including one male sex worker. This is a sign that the investigation may be turning more explicitly toward identifying and prosecuting illegal activity recorded in those videos.

Diddy’s lawyers accused the raids as unnecessary shows of force and media circus-motivated actions that are clearly calculated to prejudice public opinion against Combs. They argue that Combs has fully cooperated with the investigators and refuted the assertions that stipulate the allegations against him are baseless.

That is one step further than a series of recent charges: he had raped and physically injured his ex-girlfriend, Cassie (Cassandra Ventura). While some of them have settled, fresh allegations keep appearing, giving federal authorities more work.

This raises the very real specter of indictments as the investigation continues, depending on the results presented to the grand jury and the evidence uncovered through these far-reaching federal efforts.

Eminem’s New Single “Houdini” Arrives in 2 Days:

Eminem, the rap superstar whose gift for rhyme and mysterious persona have bewitched the world, is all set to pull off a musical stunt that would most possibly even raise an eyebrow on Harry Houdini himself. His new single, fittingly called “Houdini,” is set to be released on the 31st of May, and fans are all excited to a frenzy. This is set to be the lead single off his much-awaited 11th studio album, “The Death of Slim Shady”. The album is a great comeback for Eminem himself, who was on a four-year hiatus after the 2020 album, “Music to Be Murdered By”.

The streets of Detroit are literally abuzz with excitement, and fans are whispering eager excitement and musings. What stunt does Eminem have on sleeve this time? The very name “Houdini” itself is all but a tribute to the great escape artist, a hint of breaking free and beating the odds. A fitting metaphor for the artist who has most definitely always emerged re-invented in his body of work.

Eminem took to Instagram with a video call in tow, with none other than the modern-day Houdini, David Blaine himself. The banter was cheeky, yet interesting, with Eminem prodding David out on the bounds of magic and illusion. “Can we do like a stunt or something?” he had asked, as if giving the same kind of out-of-box surprise his new album might have in store. Blaine, for his part, went on to bite off a glass rim in what would be the most uncanny act of his. Fans were left laughing and scratching their heads for answers.

In the same video, Eminem made his very own mysterious quote, saying, “Well for my last trick, I’m going to make my career disappear.” Metaphorical allusion to Houdini’s vanishing acts? Perhaps. Eminem’s career has been nothing short of magical—a complete rollercoaster ride of fame, controversy, and change. With “Houdini,” he is ready to perform his greatest trick yet: a vanishing act that has his fans simply spellbound.

While Em has teased a little when it comes to the details surrounding “The Death of Slim Shady,” his longtime mentor and confidante Dr. Dre did spill a few beans earlier this year. In March, Dre was a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” where he confirmed that Eminem was in a Los Angeles studio working on a new album. He also revealed that he worked on a few songs for the effort himself, and was going to listen to the album for the first time the day that he was set to appear on TV.

In April, he teased “The Death of Slim Shady” with a Detroit Murder Files crime show teaser that aired during the NFL Draft. Earlier this month, he published a fake obituary in the Detroit Free Press to say goodbye to Slim Shady, who at this point has become a second identity for the artist.

As we gear up to countdown to the opening, let us not forget the other “Houdini” in the room—Dua Lipa’s own dedication to the legendary escape artist. It is an interesting twist, one that adds another dimension to the allure of Eminem’s forthcoming single. Will there be a magic showdown of sorts, a wrestling of lyrics and words between two very different artists who are paying homage to the same legend? Only time will tell.

fans are left to wonder and answer. But one thing we do know: Eminem’s “Houdini” is more than just a song. It is a statement, a performance, and perhaps even, a final curtain call. As the curtain goes up on May 31st, the world will hold its breath to see what Eminem has in his top hat. Stay tuned, for the magic is about to unfold.

Unreleased Music From Ye, Kendrick Lamar & Travis Scott Leaks Online!

Hip-Hop Heist: Unreleased Music by Kendrick Lamar, Ye, More Now Streaming Online

The internet is ablaze with a soundie goldmine: an epic dump of unreleased music from the krew of hip-hop talent. Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, and Gunna are some of the artists whose unreleased work has surfaced online. However, this isn’t your typical release of tracks.

This unprecedented leak extends beyond mere delivery of songs. Provided are the “stems,” or even individual building blocks of a song. Stems are open to remixing and manipulation of audio by producers, which adds a whole new layer of intrigue (and potential copyright terror) to the leak. How they are going about making the leak available itself is novel – “group buys.” Fans are pooling their money to hit some set amount total in donations, entitling them to access the resulting leaked audio rips.

The highlight of this leak is said to be “Can U Be,” an unfinished song by Ye and Travis Scott. This legendary song is on sale on Reddit for a reasonable $30,000 by a user that goes by the name of Vega. The other highlights include over 130 songs by Gunna, alternate versions of tracks from A$AP Rocky’s album “Testing,” and the holy grail for a segment of fans – over 40 purported Kendrick Lamar and Ye collaborations.

Fan reactions have been mixed. There is obvious excitement at the prospect of finally getting to hear these much-fabled rarities, but also suspicion over the extortionate price as well as the very real possibility that these could be forgeries. That said, the wallets of some of the fans are a little more curious than their suspicion. Over $25,000 has already been raised just for “Can U Be,” a reflection of how desperately the world wants to hear this unheard material. But there are more concrete issues at stake beyond a question of authenticity. Will the leak put the artists’ creative freedom and ownership at risk? Might a handful of those songs be AI-generated duplicates in the first place, thus further muddying the waters? The ethical dilemmas of purchasing and passing around leaked music are vexed, and fans are left to figure out their own complicity in potentially devaluing the creative process.

It is such events that explain the slowly growing affinity between technology and fandom. It is such platforms that are used unknowingly to gain access to leaked content. The music industry is taken by surprise, with the question of the safety of unreleased content and the evolving nature between artists and their fans in an ever-digital world.

The aftermath of this leak is widespread. Technology has provided an all-time level of access for the fans, but there is greater responsibility in that kind of power. The reverence for the creative process and the artistic rights still hold their power, even as technology makes things so readily available. The heist from the world of hip-hop very well may change the game of how music releases in the future function, provoking the industry to adapt and the fans to recognize their part in the consumption of creative works. The appeal of the unreleased is one that cannot be ignored, but the cost that comes with it, both in terms of the law and in terms of morality, cannot be discounted.

Dua Lipa calls for a ceasefire in Gaza

Dua Lipa Solidarity with Ceasefire in Gaza: “There is No Justification in Burning Children Alive”

Dua Lipa has also called for the fighting in Gaza to cease and has condemned the terrible loss of life, specifically the loss of life of children. She has said that “burning children alive is never justified,” and she has called on the world to rise with Gaza and unite in solidarity.

The plea follows the launching of the “All Eyes On Rafah” campaign, as ordered after a devastating Israeli airstrike in the city of Rafah in the Gaza Strip. The Sunday night airstrike ignited a fire in a tent encampment that claimed the lives of 45 people, mostly children. Health officials stated that more than half of the fatalities are women, children, and elderly, adding that the death toll might further rise because some of the injured suffered massive burns.

The tragedy has been seen as significant on the global scale, with even political activists and human rights public figures now joining Hollywood actors from Bollywood. Rafah has been give a shot in the arm by global community. Thousands of citizens and celebs share “All Eyes On Rafah” photo on social media networks.

They are joined by Indian celebrities who have openly condemned Israel like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan and many others. All children deserve love. All children deserve safety. All children deserve peace. All children deserve life. And all mothers deserve to be able to give their children those things,” Alia Bhatt: along with the hashtag “All Eyes On Rafah.” Even celebrities from Hollywood have not backed out in their voice. In addition to Dua Lipa, actor Pedro Pascal also shared the “All Eyes On Rafah” picture. Palestinian model Bella Hadid, another very vocal activist, shared multiple updates on the effects of the bombings and pictures of Palestinian lifestyles.

In reaction, Israeli military declared the investigation of the Rafah airstrike that was supposed to target Hamas leaders but that in the process led to the killing of civilians. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared, “Despite our very best efforts not to harm the civilians, something happened that is most regrettable.”

The Gaza situation has invoked serious political reactions domestically within Israel, with even opposition leaders interrupting Netanyahu’s speech to express their dissatisfaction with the direction pursued by the government.

As the whole world continues to watch and more celebrities continue to speak up, the clamor for a ceasefire in the strife-torn Gaza gets louder and louder, resonating the resolute words of Dua Lipa: “Burning children alive can never be justified.”
