Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert and More are Set to Make an Appearance at Pharrell’s “Something in the Water” Festival

Pharrell Williams has recruited hip-hop legends Lil Wayne, Lil Uzi Vert, Wu-Tang Clan, and more to perform at his Something in the Water festival in April. The lineup also includes indie darlings 100 Gecs and the reformed folk stars Mumford & Sons.

This year’s three-day festival will be held from April 28-30 in Virginia Beach. It will feature vendors, local entertainment and community events at 17th Street, 24th Street and 31st Street parks.

    Lil Wayne

Pharrell Williams is bringing his Something in the Water festival back to Virginia Beach for 2023, and it’s set to feature a mixed bag of acts. It’ll include Clipse, Lil Wayne, Wu-Tang Clan, Grace Jones, Maren Morris and more.

Scheduled for April 28th to 30th, the three-day occasion is now open for ticket sales. Additionally, the event will incorporate a marketplace segment showcasing local businesses and non-profit organizations.

Williams’ hometown event is a celebration of art, culture and music. It’ll feature performances from Amine, BADBADNOTGOOD, Babyface Ray, Coi Leray, Doechii, Kenny Beats, Kid Cudi, Latto, Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Wayne, Lil Yachty, Machine Gun Kelly, Masego, Mumford & Sons, Nile Rodgers & Chic, NLE Choppa, Polo G, Remi Wolf, Riovaz, Saucy Santana, Skrillex, Summer Walker, SWV, the Kid Laroi, Wale, Wu-Tang Clan and more.

    Clipse

Clipse, a duo from Virginia, are set to perform at pharell’s something in the water this Juneteenth weekend. The festival is slated to take place in Washington DC, and the music event will feature a plethora of big names including lil wayne and lil uzi vert.

Originating in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1992, Clipse stands as an American hip hop duo established by siblings Terrence and No Malice. They are known for their style of rap, which often discusses drug dealing and clubbing.

They released their second album Hell Hath No Fury in 2006. After a several-year delay due to record label reshuffling, they decided to release it on their own label, Re-Up Records. It has since become a classic and was ranked as one of the best albums of the 2000s.

    Summer Walker

The rap stars are set to perform at Pharrell’s something in the water festival on April 28-30 in Virginia Beach. The three-day event, slated to take place in the city’s oceanfront parks, also includes performances by Lil Wayne, Clipse and Wu-Tang Clan.

This will be the first time Something in the Water returns to Virginia Beach since its original debut, when it was moved to Washington, D.C. due to Williams’ complaints about the city’s “toxic energy” and out-of-control police.

Enthusiasts will have the opportunity to witness an impressive lineup of music icons, featuring renowned artists like Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Clipse, Wu-Tang Clan, Kehlani, Flo Milli, and Summer Walker. Additionally, this year’s edition of the event will feature a new performance called “Pharrell’s Phriends,” featuring unannounced appearances from major musical artists.

    Grace Jones

The Neptunes mastermind Pharrell Williams is bringing his Something in the Water festival to Virginia Beach again. The event is happening on April 28-30 and will be livestreamed on YouTube.

The lineup includes Grace Jones, Clipse (who reunited for this year’s fest), Jazmine Sullivan, Lil Wayne, Kid Cudi, Lil Uzi Vert, Wu-Tang Clan, 100 Gecs, BADBADNOTGOOD, Flo Milli, Babyface Ray, Kamasi Washington, Kaytranada, Saucy Santana, Kenny Beats, Doechii, Kehlani, NLE Choppa, Amine, Wale and Machine Gun Kelly.

Along with the music, Williams also says he’ll be collaborating with local vendors and companies to create free activations around the Something in the Water grounds. He’s working with Social Supply, Team L.A.M.B & Where the Heart Is, and organizers of Norfolk’s R&B Block Party to program the oceanfront parks at 17th Street, 24th Street and 31st Street.

    Lil Uzi Vert

Lil Uzi Vert has been making his mark on the music scene since he started in 2015. His rapid-fire delivery helped him gain a fan base, but he’s also known for his honest and vulnerable lyrics.

The Philadelphia rapper has struggled with depression and addiction, but is now open about his struggles and is leading the way in advocating for mental health. He recently tweeted out his second studio album, Eternal Atake, and plans to release it in 2020.

Pharrell’s Something in the Water festival is coming back to Virginia Beach this year. The lineup is huge, and it includes cult-disco queen Grace Jones, hip-hop legends Lil Wayne and Wu-Tang Clan, R&B darlings 100 Gecs and pop stars Mumford & Sons, as well as Nile Rodgers & Chic, Summer Walker, and Skrillex.
