First Day on the Job? Cops Arrest Man For Trying to Unlock HIS OWN CAR

Take note of officers’ badge and patrol car numbers, agency details, and any other relevant information for potential complaints or legal action.

Take note of all the details you can recall, such as officers’ badge and patrol car numbers, the agency they belonged to, and any other relevant information that might assist you in case you choose to file a complaint or pursue legal action. Police arrested a man for trying to unlock his own car in Montreal.

He was handcuffed and waited in the back of a police cruiser for 15 minutes before he was finally freed.

The incident was captured on video and has since gone viral. The victim, Brice Dossa, said he was traumatized and humiliated. He opened the case with Montreal police, but did not get an apology for the experience.

Dossa says the officer who cuffed him told him they were on a “street check.” He said they looked at his car, which is new and does not have any marks.

He also was told he was suspected of stealing it.

According to OPD, the protocol is to safely detain the occupant of a vehicle believed to be stolen. They verify the occupant’s identification as well as run the vehicle’s VIN number to confirm or deny ownership.

The OPD spokesperson, Eric Babineau, told KRON4 that the process is a good way to confirm or deny ownership of a car that has been reported as stolen. He added that it’s not the first time this has happened.

Another incident that has made headlines is a recent case in Holliston, Massachusetts. A suspect was spotted on May 27 tampering with a woman’s vehicle before he approached her and offered to take it home, WCVB reports.

The police are at it again

When you are stopped by the police, follow their orders and don’t resist arrest. Note down officers’ badge and patrol car numbers, agency details, and other helpful info for potential complaints or legal action.

In addition, contact the police department or law enforcement agency you were stopped by and request a written statement. If possible, try to get contact information for witnesses who may have heard the incident.
