Elon Musk Tests Negative for Cocaine, Meth, Ketamine & Weed Amid Accusations

Elon Musk just threw a curveball at his critics by sharing a drug test proving he’s clean, sparking fresh buzz in an already heated controversy. The billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX posted results on X on June 17, 2025, showing he tested negative for a slew of substances, including cocaine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and marijuana. This bold move comes just weeks after a May 30, 2025, report accused him of heavy ketamine use during his involvement in Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, stirring up a storm of speculation about his personal life.

The drug test, conducted on June 11, 2025, at Fastest Labs of South Austin in Texas, was analyzed by United States Drug Testing in Des Plaines, Illinois. The final report, released on June 16, 2025, confirmed Musk was negative for over 20 substances, including benzodiazepines, amphetamines, ecstasy, opiates, fentanyl, and cannabinoids. Specific screen limits were listed, such as 100 ng/mL for ketamine and 50 ng/mL for marijuana, with validity tests showing normal pH (5.11) and creatinine levels (47.16 mg/dL), ensuring the urine sample’s integrity. Musk shared the results with a playful “lol,” a clear jab at the accusations.

The drama kicked off with a bombshell report by NYT claiming Musk’s drug use was “far more intense than previously known.”

It is alleged that he was taking ketamine so frequently that it impacted his bladder, a known side effect of chronic use, alongside using ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and Adderall. The report tied these claims to Musk’s high-profile role in Trump’s campaign, where he donated $275 million and led rallies.

Musk didn’t hold back in his response, denying the allegations on X. He admitted to trying prescription ketamine years ago for depression but insisted he hasn’t touched it since. He even challenged the credibility of the claims, pointing out his packed schedule and constant public exposure make hiding drug use unlikely.

“I’m in meetings with dozens to hundreds of people every day and photographed constantly,”

He said.

But here’s the twist: experts note that standard urine tests, like the one Musk took, often fail to detect drugs used more than 10 days prior. Since the test was conducted 12 days after the initial report, it may not fully address the period in question. This limitation has kept skeptics talking, especially as tensions flared with former President Trump. Reports suggest Trump, after a public fallout with Musk, called him a “big-time drug addict,” adding fuel to the fire.

The public is split. Musk’s fans see the test as proof of his innocence, praising his transparency. Critics, however, argue the timing raises questions, and the debate shows no signs of slowing down.
