Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. drama intensifies dramatically over the weekend. Mayfield admitted being stunned after Beckham’s father trashed him over social media and said he hasn’t been in contact with Beckham since the video was posted.

“He naturally wants his son to succeed, and I can’t blame him for that,” Mayfield stated. “I also want Odell to succeed. That’s what I believed, or at least I thought so.”
Unfortunately, the rear has come to its head, and Beckham may have played his final game as a Brown. As of recent, he’s been excused from practice and discussions were had about his future. He was told not to attend Wednesday’s practice, the following day after his father embarrassed Mayfield on the Internet.
The video emphasized that many times Beckham seemed open and didn’t receive the ball. In addition to the video, he also commented three green check marks in response to a fans comment. The fan comment suggested that Mayfield either dislikes Odell or doesn’t want him to succeed.
Odell Beckham Jr.’s dad posted an 11 minute video on IG showing all the times Odell was open and not thrown to.
The video was liked by multiple Browns players including, Rashard Higgins & John Johnson III.

“I’ve spoken directly with his father, and I was taken aback by the video and its underlying emotions,” said Mayfield, who dismissed the claim that he has intentionally avoided passing to Beckham this season. “I wouldn’t be honest if I said otherwise.”
The Cleveland Browns and Mayfield’s reaction
Browns coach Kevin Stefanski informed the players earlier today that Beckham is currently not part of the team as they work towards a resolution, according to Michael Silver. Despite the ongoing drama, Mayfield is open to reconciliation if Beckham expresses interest.
“If he returns, we’ll work through it and do whatever it takes,” Mayfield stated. “I can set aside my ego and pride for the sake of winning. Winning is my sole focus. If not, we’ll rely on the players we have on the field. They will know that I have complete trust in them, and they’ll understand the kind of leader and quarterback I am.”
“There’s been a lot of frustration and tension due to our underperformance,” Mayfield added.
