According to BET, the 66-year-old passed away on Friday September 16. Marva Hicks’ cause of her death is not known. The award winning actress is native to Petersburg, Virginia making her debut to Broadway in 1981 after graduating from Howard University. She would later appear in performances like, The Great White Way in Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music, Caroline, or Change Motown the Musical in 2013. The actress leaves behind a reputable legacy.
