The Hottest Rap Songs Released in February 2023

The year 2023 is about to be a big one for hip hop music. With a wide range of new albums, EPs and mixtapes releasing this month, it’s hard to keep up with them all.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up the best new rap songs released this February. From Conway The Machine and Sauce Walka to PinkPanthress and Ice Spice, there’s something for everyone.

    PinkPantheress & Ice Spice – “Boy’s A Liar”

PinkPantheress & Ice Spice have been getting some online attention of late, and this collaboration feels like it might be their best opportunity to score a mainstream hit. The two have a very different sound, but they work together well and have a great time making music.

Andrew Unterberger: You can see a little bit of the frenetic airiness of hyperpop and a bit of the bounce of Jersey club in this song, but the end result is more pop than either of those genres. This is something that can be very tricky to pull off, and yet this is a really impressive debut.

It’s not a perfect track, but the combination of Ice Spice and PinkPantheress is what makes it so strong, and I’m excited to see how this goes. It’s a great start for both artists, and I’m sure it will only get better as they continue to collaborate.

    G Perico & DJ Drama – “Ask G4”

Los Angeles rap artist G Perico links up with DJ Drama for the official music video of their Hot Shot single “Ask G4.” Directed by Stacking Memories, G Perico takes his Rolls Royce and makes his way through his stomping grounds, chatting about his rock star lifestyle. It’s a fun glance at the upcoming mixtape that G Perico and DJ Drama will release as part of their Gangsta Grillz series later this year.

Aside from his own releases, G Perico can be heard on collaborative projects such as REASON and Cozz’s “Hair Salon,” DaBoii’s “No You Not,” and more. In 2022, he released his last album, SOUTH CENTRAL, featuring appearances from Casey Veggies, Tapri Grams, Slumlord Tril, and 2 Eleven. He’s also provided production for a handful of joint projects, including Coke Boys 6: Money Heist Edition with French Montana, Rollin’ Stone with J. Stone, and Book Of David with Dave East.

    PRICE & Nana – “CONVOS”

One of the standout new rap songs of the month is a collaborative effort between Inland Empire MC and CLRD Entertainment founder PRICE and RCA Records signee Nana. The song is part of Price’s new LP, No Sleep In The City, and is one of many great tracks the self-producer has to offer. A multi-faceted emcee, Price is no stranger to the recording studio, and is a true show-stopper when it comes to creativity. It’s no surprise that he is also a fan of the music video medium, as this track features some of his newest and most exciting creative collaborators.

    J. Cole – “Don’t Be Dumb”

Jermaine Lamar Cole (born January 28th 1985) is an American rapper and producer. He is the son of a German mother and an African-American father. He is raised in a multi-ethnic environment and has a very strong anti-racist background.

As a child, Cole played violin and became interested in music and basketball. He also started rapping and producing at a young age.
He is a rapper, songwriter and record producer from Fayetteville, North Carolina. He has worked with numerous other artists. With five studio albums and numerous singles under his belt, his musical journey is remarkable.
