T.I., the Atlanta rap legend, recently appeared on DJ Whoo Kid’s Whoo’s House Podcast. During the podcast, Atlanta legend T.I. recently put out an idea that has music lovers buzzing: an epic tour featuring rap titans Kendrick Lamar and Drake!
But he didn’t fall back on the tension between these two powerhouses. He termed it one of the most intense beefs he has ever seen. T.I. now feels it’s high time they bury the hatchet and put on a show for the ages.
Of course, Kendrick Lamar and Drake go so far as to display tremendous potential hit-writing abilities. The two of them are capable of doing legendary things. It would actually be something seeing the electricity between them, even if it’s sparked off by a little bit of fire.
Remember, Drake even brought Kendrick on his Club Paradise Tour back in 2012? That was pure fire. Now, 2024 is a bit different for the duo, but according to T.I., the tour might be the ultimate reunion that fans have been desperately waiting for.
T.I., in fact, went as far as to say that the only thing selling quicker than those old diss tracks was going to be tickets for a reconciliation tour. Imagine what the setlist could have been like—a smattering of hits, maybe even some joint tracks that never got their proper shine out in the world. It could’ve been one for the books, culturally speaking.
Now don’t forget J. Cole, who T.I. took aside and said it was really he who stayed out of the whole thing. T.I. even called it a very “Gandhi” move! Definitely, no one can possibly deny the heat between Drake and Kendrick, but in T.I.’s own words: “Respect the talent, acknowledge the past, and move forward.” This could be the epitome of unity and maturity in the rap game, showing that even legends can squander beef and make it really epic.
