Drake is welcoming the New Year with a Las Vegas residency deal worth $10 million buckaroos.
According to HotNewHipHop, Drake signed a deal with Wynn’s XS Nightclub. The deal is a multi-year commitment, and supposedly locks Drake down to perform a guaranteed minimum of 10 shows at the popular Las Vegas club. So, it looks like that video of him kissing a 17-year-old is obsolete now as this surfaces weeks after.
This is the first time Drake has ever been offered a residency, so it’s a pretty big deal. He’ll now be mentioned with the greats like Celine Dion, Elton John, and Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, and J.Lo– who’ve all had their own residency in the past.
Recently, Drake hinted at the deal, while performing for a crowd at the Consumers Electronics Show . As he was performing you could hear him saying, “I’ll be back here at XS all year. You’ll have a lot of chances to see me.”
According to one source, Drake buckled down and chose XS, because he believes the club is always growing and evolving in the entertainment field. Could this finally be the platform to debut his collaboration with J.Cole? Or maybe Chris Brown feature?
Let’s hope Drake doesn’t blow his money at the casino.
