Violet Myers Opens Up About Career Beginnings and Her Passion for the Adult Entertainment Industry

LOS ANGELES. Adult star Violet Myers says a single studio scene flipped her from college cam girl to full-time performer, and a clip of her explaining that moment is circulating widely on X. The clip, posted by the account @Gdl_defy on November 5, captures the 29-year-old describing the hair and makeup, the pay, and the follower spike that came with her first professional shoot. “Then I did one scene and I fell in love with porn and that’s when I started,” Myers says in the clip.

She makes the transition sound less like a leap and more like an upgrade. “It was really cool, like just doing the hair and makeup and getting paid so much, but also I was getting followers from it so much and I really admired like being like an influencer,” she says. She added that she “didn’t really think about the consequences” at the time and was “just kind of like living in the moment.” The wording matches what she told No Jumper in a interview transcript that carries the same line almost word for word.

The backstory is the part she has never dressed up. Myers spent two years in college studying clinical psychology, drawn by what she called a long fascination with true crime and serial killers. Camming paid her tuition at the time. “I wanted to be a clinical psychologist and open up a clinic in low-income areas,” she told No Jumper, adding that the dream still exists. She was studying when the money from one scene changed the math. That plan never left her.

The entry point came in November 2017, when she started couples webcam shows on Chaturbate with a boyfriend she had met in college, then continued solo on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, working private rooms under the college girl hashtag. She tweeted repeatedly that she wanted to become a porn star to grow the audience, and those posts reached agent Brian Berke, the veteran who founded AMA Modeling in South Florida in 2004 and later co-founded 101 Modeling in Los Angeles. Berke told AVN that Myers and her mother spent a call vetting him before she committed. His housemate, performer Brad Hart, had connected them in the first place. The tweets did their job.

Her professional debut arrived in Florida in the summer of 2018, a solo scene for Score Group shot in Fort Lauderdale. Two weeks later she shot her first boy/girl scene with Hart. She returned to Los Angeles in 2019 and the credits piled up, with industry databases now listing more than 340 scenes across studios including Brazzers, Reality Kings, and Naughty America.

The name came first, though. Myers has said she disliked her legal name and used Violet online and in high school, then took Myers from the Halloween slasher Michael Myers. “I chose Myers because of Michael Myers, from Halloween, not Austin Powers,” she told AVN. In the circulating clip she puts it simply. “I always go under Violet Myers so I was looking at my yearbook and I would sign in my yearbook Violet Myers.”

Her mother knew about the cam work from the start. When the ring light went on, Myers has said, her mother knew to give her space, and she once took her to a sex store to buy her first toy. No shame in that house. That openness, Myers told AVN, is where her comfort with an audience comes from.

The studio work funded a wider brand. Myers runs a YouTube channel with more than 460,000 subscribers under the Waifu Violet name, streams on Twitch for roughly 94,000 followers, and leans into the anime and cosplay content she was into before porn. From 2022 to 2023 she went exclusive with Vixen Media Group across its Blacked, Tushy, Slayed, Deeper, and Vixen brands, was crowned a Vixen Angel in 2023, and collected AVN wins for best group sex scene in 2023 and best boy/girl scene in 2024, plus a run of Pornhub fan awards and a 2025 Urban X honor.

The chapter after Vixen is already moving. Myers confirmed on Holly Randall’s podcast that the exclusive contract has ended and she is weighing new studios and VR projects, and she debuted behind the camera in July 2026 directing her first scenes for Blacked Raw. She also co-hosts The Morning After Podcast with influencers Camille Nicole and Scott Hoho, a show AVN covered at launch. Her path sits inside a broader creator shift in which adult performers build mainstream audiences first, the way Liz Cambage moved onto OnlyFans and Sophie Rain turned the platform into a career, while veterans like Angela White cross into long-form podcasting.
