Swae Lee, the popular rapper, recently took a ride in Tesla’s innovative robotaxi, which notably lacks a steering wheel. During the event “We, Robot” presented by Elon Musk himself on October 11, 2024, at Warner Bros. Studio in Burbank, California, Swae Lee took a ride in Tesla’s revolutionary Robotaxi called Cybercab.
The Cybercab is sleek, two-seater, no steering wheel, no pedal. Rather, it would completely ride on very sophisticated artificial intelligence and senses. As Swae Lee took the ride himself, he felt compelled to share his amazement. “It was incredible,” he said. “I felt like I was floating. It’s way better than having a human driver.” His remarks mirror a growing confidence and curiosity about autonomous driving technology.
Swae Lee took a ride in Tesla’s new Robotaxi, which has no steering wheel, and said it’s better than having a human drive 👀 pic.twitter.com/MBUwiDFlBz
Swae Lee was not the only one present on the event; he was joined by artists like 2 Chainz among many, and they got to interact with the Optimus robot designed by Tesla. The preposterous robot even serenaded them singing Swae Lee’s “Sunflower” hit. The unexpected performance mixed it up into an entertaining vibe for the showcase; this made certain that Tesla’s technology was great but also engaging.
The event had presented a new vehicle that could also be referred to as the Robovan, which one could configure either for mass transit or even turn into a cargo carrier-a definite indication that Tesla doesn’t stop addressing just passenger vehicles in its fleet. With such models being brought into the market, the future of transportation seems to get brighter and more versatile.
The Cybercab is offering passenger comfort and safety with an assurance to make rides not only pleasant but also secure. While many people are pretty excited about what could be with robotaxis, that red flag most are raising on issues of safety and reliability simply won’t go away. Smoothness of the ride and predictability of the vehicle behavior are critical factors that will determine how comfortable the public feels with this new way of getting around.
Swae Lee’s case represents an increasing reality in the growing number of artists who do not hold themselves back from embracing new technologies. He has been working on different projects-from collaboration with musicians to solo material.
His songs generally speak about love and personal experiences; he shares his music with his audience. Recently, he and his girlfriend Victoria Kristine welcomed a boy to their family, and that seems like a very emotional and creative addition to his life.
As Swae Lee elaborates on his music and the future of technology, one thing he never fails at is penning strong lyrics that connect with his audience. For going out of his way to even pick up something as innovative as the Tesla Cybercab, Lee proved he was more than just an artist but a thought leader-into the future, at least.
R Kelly’s estranged daughter, Buku Abi, has found herself at the center of attention again amid public interest in the disgraced singer’s ongoing and new legal battles. Born JoAnn Kelly, Buku has publicly talked about the emotional toll her father’s crimes have on her, but never said she was a victim of his.
BREAKING: R. Kelly's daughter Buku says the singer sexually abused her as a child:
In her past public statements, Buku said she “sympathized with every survivor” of R. Kelly’s abuse who was “forced to live through that at the hands and mercy of my father.” Having an evil burden being closely related to such a controversial figure, Buku has, however, clarified that she no longer sustains a relationship with her father, whose convictions for sex crimes have sent shockwaves throughout the music world and beyond.
I’m truly devastated by everything that’s come to light, and it’s been really, really hard to process, Buku wrote in 2019 on Instagram. In the same post, she also touched on how she struggled to balance her personal relationship with her father against his public persona, saying she must “pray for all the families and women that have been affected from my father’s actions.”
Via pagesix
Though other documentaries, such as “Surviving R. Kelly,” have brought to light the stories of many of R. Kelly’s victims, Buku has stayed clear of any active involvement in them. Her choice to remain mostly silent because of her father’s legal issues has brought both empathy and speculation from the public.
Ongoing trials and convictions against R. Kelly on charges that involve sexual abuse and exploitation put a certain kind of spotlight on his family. While Abi has not made any legal allegations, her public comments are evidence of her personal battle with being associated with someone convicted of serious crimes.
The solidarity with Buku has been loud from many fans and supporters of R. Kelly’s victims for what many children from public figures have to live their lives: between loyalty to family and personal integrity. As the case against R. Kelly remained in process, Buku stays a figure of strength and resilience to many people close enough to this case.
Conor McGregor has thrown down the challenge to YouTube starKSI in what will be a heated-yet-teasing rivalry. The UFC superstar recently shared his despise for KSI’s new musical project, a song entitled “Thick Of It,” which he boldly labeled as “bullshit.”
As stated in an interview with Misfits Boxing, McGregor piled on: “I’ll fight him for that bulls**t song alone!”-a statement gone viral, sending shockwaves through the boxing and social media communities.
The challenge of McGregor is not just a song; it’s a reflection of his life-size ego and a penchant for stirring the pot. Bravado has always accompanied McGregor, who has never backed down from a fight-in or out of the octagon or ring.
His comments came in an event where he was confronted by boxer Derek Chisora, leading to a bizarre exchange that only added fuel to the fire. As would be expected, fans are on the buzz over the prospect of a showdown between the UFC legend and the YouTube sensation.
KSI has also been known in the field of music and boxing. He didn’t waste any time, immediately shooting back at McGregor and labeled him an “idiot.” Teasing between the two fired up conversations on social media, with many eager to share their opinions about the fight.
VIA-X
The backlash has been for “Thick Of It”. He even said himself it’s become “trendy” to hate on him. He thinks this is a bit unfair, especially considering how much work he put into the song. KSI has always made it a point to release hard bars that his core will appreciate, and it appears that he isn’t budging against critics.
Music has been a major part of KSI’s career, and he has always tried to incorporate great lyrics into his songs to which many people can relate. This can also be said about his newest song, “Thick Of It.”
KSI has created and developed his music to tell a story and be relatable to his fans through personal happenings and feelings. This is very important to KSI when creating his craft, as he knows originality plays a key role in his work.
Though brutal, McGregor’s words really bring out the competitive sides of both men. KSI has received mixed reviews in his music career, and the possible critique from McGregor may actually be a call to progress and grow. This is celebrity boxing, the clash of personalities that have built rivalries which could mean more than just words.
It would now appear that McGregor had backed down from his challenge. Reports immediately afterward quoted him as saying that he had not been serious, and that he has other fights, especially one highly vaunted return to the UFC against Michael Chandler. The shift in focus begs the question of McGregor’s seriousness about a potential bout with KSI and whether he just enjoys the trash talk that comes with it.
Meanwhile, KSI is preparing to fight Jake Paul. He has spoken about a desire to face McGregor, but for now, it would appear his attentions are elsewhere. Celebrity boxing is a fluid world, and until more talks are had, fans are left to speculate if this rivalry ever heats up again.
The whole back-and-forth that has gone on between McGregor and KSI has been entertaining, at the very least. A rivalry for the pair originally started on social media, with McGregor often teasing KSI about his music. Things picked up in severity when KSI was lined up to fight Dillon Danis, McGregor’s jiu-jitsu coach, but would never come to fruition.
Recently, McGregor was also in the headlines as he called out KSI to a bare-knuckle boxing match after Anthony Joshua’s knockout victory over Robert Helenius. “He couldn’t box eggs if he worked in an egg boxing factory,” McGregor joked, making many fans and media burst into laughter.
With McGregor known to make these kinds of statements, it is yet to be seen whether it translates into an actual bout. The two fighters are focused on their respective careers at the moment, but the avenue remains open to having something that might bring most of the world together in a single statement.
Druski, the popular comedy influencer has collaborated with one of the favorite comedians, Kevin Hart, in a brand-new series hitting Netflix. This continues to bring his unique comedic flair to an even bigger audience, and with Hart on board, it’s really bound for greatness.
With his skits being hilarious and the humor quite relatable, Druski won the hearts of millions. The rise in the entertainment world of this personality, with over 15 million followers across different platforms, is nothing short of spectacular. This series promised to be full of the best from the two comedians as they blend their peculiar styles into something fresh and entertaining.
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Druski is developing an untitled Netflix series with Kevin Hart pic.twitter.com/8i3Bzz1Lo1
Already, the fans are going wild. With projects like “Coulda Been Records” and “Coulda Fest,” Druski has already proved his creativity and wit. Now, with “Coulda Been House,” he plunges into a reality series-one that somewhat looks like “Big Brother.”
The contestants will be from his parody record label and will be competing for winnings of $50,000. This show is supposed to reflect Druski’s imaginative vision, and by the look of things, he is not about to stop now.
The chemistry is real between Druski and Hart. The two have worked together in streams for the highly popular Twitch streamer Kai Cenat. In fact, one of those streams reached an incredible number of viewers: it hit a peak of 712,600 concurrents. They were at their hilarious best in these sessions, giving good reason for fans to want more.

Everything concerning the details of the Netflix series is under wraps, but it’s abuzz with excitement. Social media was rife with expressions of what followers thought about it, how they really admired these two comedians, and how many are just waiting to see what they’ll come up with, hoping for just that same energy and laughter their combined work has always projected in the past.
Even more exciting, though, than this team-up is how both comedians feed their fanbases-through great, relatable content. This new series should be no different. Hart has years in the game, while Druski brings that new-school approach in; put together, it could be magic.
For sneak peeks or trailers, well-this is patience on a whole different level. Netflix usually unleashes teasers during events like Geeked Week; that is where they show snippets of upcoming projects. Until then, the wait will just remain something fans have to endure.
Along with the Netflix series, Druski is also filming a movie with Shane Gillis, which broadens his palette as a creator even more. With each new project, he proves that he is not a one-hit wonder but rises to fame in comedy.
The Montauk Project largely concerns the supposed secret government experiments carried out at a place called Camp Hero, which is the name given to an installation that was formerly a military base in Montauk, New York. It is thus perhaps one of the most notorious conspiracies hatched in recent times. Indeed, this allegedly flagrant project has fascinated conspiracy theorists with its stories of everything from mind control to time travel and extraterrestrial encounters for decades on end.
Whereas the U.S. government has persistently denied these, and no credible evidence for this exists, the Montauk Project remains a staple of interest even within conspiracy circles and popular culture.
Origins of the Montauk Project It was at first a non-event-only when a series of books came out, starting with The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time in 1992 by Preston Nichols and Peter Moondid the Montauk Project really take flight. Nichols reported they had recovered repressed memories of working on the project and gave, in impressive detail, descriptions of what was said to happen at Camp Hero.
His testimony described a US government that was running secret programs in the realm of mind control, time travel, and alien life. And worst of all, it said that children-or orphans and runaways-were bereft to such terrible experiments.
Along with these, two other major personalities named Al Bielek and Duncan Cameron also came forward to be identified with this theory.
Bielek also claimed to have been part of the Montauk Project and its precursor, the near-legendary Philadelphia Experiment, a 1943 U.S. Navy effort to make a warship invisible. The latter, according to reports, involves Cameron, described as a psychic, who is apparently responsible for the opening of interdimensional portals. Of these three individuals, the aforementioned trio provided the principal voices behind the Montauk Project conspiracy-the corroborative evidence notwithstanding.
Alleged Experiments at Camp Hero
The activities said to be occurring at Camp Hero are varied and sensational. At the center of this theory is, of course, the concept of mind control, wherein the government allegedly attempted to perfect those techniques that could manipulate human thought and behavior. Other advocates also suggest that the Montauk Project embarked on successful experiments in time travel, in which people were quite capable of being forwarded in time to any number of historical periods. Equally as outlandish are those of teleportation, claiming that both people and objects were instantaneously transported over great distances.
But arguably the wildest claim involves contact with extraterrestrial beings. Some in the conspiracy theory community believe that through the project, contact was made with aliens and various high-technology items were obtained from them. Finally, many broader conspiracy theories are associated with the Montauk Project-claims that some of the Apollo moon landings were staged as part of a greater agenda driven by this project.
Government Denial and Lack of Evidence
As one might expect, the U.S. government has categorically denied the existence of the Montauk Project or any type of experiments described in Nichols’ books. None of the claims have been based on any official documents or evidence, and most experts consider the project to be pure fiction. Skeptics indicate that the theory is based too heavily on anecdotal testimony and recovered memories, which are notoriously unreliable.
Mostly, the Montauk Project reflects common tropes found in science fiction rather than fact. Time travel, psychic abilities, and alien contact are many of the themes familiar to popular culture, and critics will point to this as evidence that this project is born from creative imaginations rather than secret governmental experiments.
The Cultural Impact of the Montauk Project
Still, the cultural impact of the Montauk Project has been immense despite any verifiable proof.
The secret experiments have inspired a number of books, documentaries, and even a couple of films. Most noticeably, the hit Netflix series Stranger Things was pitched under the working title “Montauk,” with many elements of the series drawing inspiration from the conspiracy theory. Indeed, plotlines throughout the series-secret government experiments, alternate dimensions, telekinetic abilities-can all be seen to bear a resemblance to the facets of the Montauk Project espoused by its most devoted followers. The fact that this theory has persisted, even without evidence, is just another reflection of the allure that conspiracy theories continue to have with audiences in modern times. Tales of secret government agendas, superhuman abilities, and resultant cover-ups continue to captivate audiences mainly because of the tendency to mix fact and fiction in such a way as to maintain intrigue.
Skeptical Views and Science Fiction Parallels
Most professionals consider the Montauk Project to be a modern urban legend. The absence of physical evidence, except for the fact that the claims are incredible, alternatives from the theory make the serious research hard to take seriously. In fact, much of the story about Montauk borrows a lot from science fiction with parallels to well-known works in the genre. Time travel and mind control experiments, for instance, are two central elements of the Montauk Project; these are staples of any science fiction narrative. The contact with extraterrestrial beings in the context of secret government research has been the subject of numerous books and films, further blurring the already thin line existing between imagination and reality.
Why the Montauk Project Matters Today The Montauk Project remains significant in modern conspiracy culture, despite the fact that it is mostly considered fiction. This plays into deep-seated fears of government overreach, unethical experimentation, and hidden knowledge-a theme deeply resonating with that part of the public who are suspicious about official narratives and catalyzes the growth of conspiracy communities both online and offline. Add to that the fact that the Montauk Project has somehow managed to find a home in pop culture, between its connections to popular science fiction themes and shows, like Stranger Things. Many people view the theory as more than a weird conspiracy-it’s a way into talking about time travel, alternate dimensions, and what could or can’t the human brain do.
Dejuane Aki Hayden, 30-year-old rapper, died in a shooting involved with Jacksonville Police officer Bradley Griffitts on Thursday, October 10, 2024. It happened while Hayden was apparently live on Facebook, listening to Kendrick Lamar’s song “Not Like Us.”
According to the JSO, police were conducting surveillance on subjects believed to be affiliated with gangs when they approached Hayden and two other. Witnesses described a confrontational scene, saying people were “flashing guns back and forth.” As police neared the trio, Hayden is said to have ran away, drawing a gun, at which time Office Bradley Griffitts fired his weapon.
Florida rapper Dejuane Aki Hayden fatally shot by Jacksonville police while vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” on Facebook Live 🙏🏾 This is JSO Bradley Griffitts’ second officer-involved shooting in six years.pic.twitter.com/SHPbW6pdtv
This incident has whipped up a wave of concern amongst its residents, many demanding transparency. A video being forwarded on social media seems to show moments that led up to the shooting, but JSO has ensured it does not capture the actual shooting. Release of body camera footage has become a demand by this community to shed light on what happened.
Dejuane Aki Hayden was an impassioned artist who put his heart into every lyric in his song. With hard-biting rhymes and raw storytelling, Hayden often had a unique way of connecting with his listeners. His songs could often speak to those living through similar dilemmas, having reflected the struggles of life in Jacksonville.
Experiences, both positive and negative alike, played the huge part in Hayden’s creative process. Many interviews that he has ever held claim that his fans deserved to hear the raw, honest truth when it came down to his music. “I want my music to be real,” he once said in an interview. “I write about what I know, and I know the streets.” This made him popular locally within the rap scene.
It is part of the bigger story that goes on with gang and drug investigations in Jacksonville. Hayden was under surveillance from the JSO based on his association with these known gang members. None of these incidents are related to previous occurrences involving Officer Griffitts, but an indication of a constant problem in violence and crime.
Officer Bradley Griffitts has been involved in two officer-involved shootings within the past six years. Questions are quickly raised about his history and the continuing issue of police conduct.
Life was not easy for Hayden, and he’d had his share of legal problems: by September 2023, Duval County had an active case against him. Perhaps, that is what had touched his music and the spoken word of messages in them. Despite this, he was deeply devoted to his art and community.
The community’s reaction toward the death of Hayden was marked by grief and anger. Tributes have poured in across social media platforms, with fans and supporters sharing heartfelt condolences and memories of the late rapper. “He was more than just a rapper; he was a voice for us,” commented one fan on social media. “His music spoke to our struggles and our dreams.”
As the investigation into the shooting continues, residents are left trying to make sense of this tragedy. The call for accountability and transparency from law enforcement now rings louder than ever. We want to know about the circumstances of Hayden’s death, and really about the officers involved.
Rihanna’s Savage x Fentyl runway shows have transcended into cultural relevance owed to their inclusivity, diversity, and innovative presentation. The best turn of events: Rihanna is bringing back the iconic Savage x Fenty runway shows.
The multi-talented singer/songwriter and entrepreneur made her intentions clear during a preview event for her new Lavish Lace Collection at Nordstrom in Century City Mall, Los Angeles. “I want the show to come back,” she said to PEOPLE as cheering erupted from her sea of fans.
Rihanna reveals to People that she wants the Savage x Fenty fashion shows to return:
“We want a new message, a new logo. We just launched new collections and you'll see we're introducing you to a brand new Savage X Fenty brand, and then we could take it from there.” pic.twitter.com/cFXNEFJZKL
Rihanna is planning big things for the upcoming shows. She said the brand is doing a face flip, adding, “We are doing a flip on the face of the brand and we’re just trying to launch everything.”
The Grammy-winning performer isn’t stopping at looks alone; she’s promising to have a new message and even a new logo for Savage x Fenty. “You’ll see, we’re introducing you to a whole different Savage x Fenty brand, and then we can take it from there,” she said.
Rihanna also gave a tour of her life. She spoke candidly about her go-to mom uniform: “Anything that’s cozy, stretchy, and easy to bend down and pick my kids up in.” Comfort will be the key to navigating motherhood alongside a career. ”Anything that doesn’t scratch me, doesn’t scratch them. We’ve got a lot of work to do in one day in the life of a mom,” she said with a smile.

One of the hallmarks of Savage X Fenty since its creation in 2018 had been its commitment to being inclusive and diverse. Consistently, the shows have been filled with a diverse cast-a hind and forensic collision of different body types, ethnicities, genders, and age groups-something that separates it from traditional fashion shows . This commitment is still strong in the brand ethos today, as can also be seen in the recent collaboration with Diesel, avowing inclusivity and self-love.
via-DENNIS LEUPOLD
More recently, Savage x Fenty partnered with Diesel for a limited capsule collection that contained lingerie and apparel. This will include the lingerie, underwear for women and men, and sleepwear that will become available only in some Diesel stores around the world, along with Savage x Fenty stores within the U.S. The collaboration heightens both brands’ values toward inclusivity, targeting Generation Z with its diverse media campaign.
Past Savage x Fenty show Vol. 4 was filmed this October 2022 and aired on Prime Video in November 2022. Full of stars, best models, musicians, and celebrity appearances by the likes of Johnny Depp-a move that got tongues wagging on social media. The show kept the brand’s DNA performance diverse and new digital presentations, and what was expected of the brand.

Rihanna’s future vision for Savage x Fenty is cognizant of the reality that fashion is sluggish to change. She has committed to an all-inclusive and eclectic range of fashion that has typified the brand. In June 2023, she stepped down as CEO of the company, but stayed very influential as an executive chair.

That means the return of Savage x Fenty fashion shows heralds an exciting new chapter for the brand, filled with transformations, inclusiveness, and innovative collaborations which will again set a new definition for the concept of fashion shows by Rihanna.
According to Amouranth, the first message from Kanye was casual, just asking her to “hit me when done” after her stream. He hinted at a desire to hang out and hear a song from his next album, “Vultures”. Amouranth, whose real name is Kaitlyn Siragusa replied in confusion where Kanye elaborated on what he meant.
While the exchange never went further than that, confirmation of Amouranth’s DMs sent from social media sent the internet talking. It also put into the light how Kanye has reached out to a number of female guests who have been on the show, according to Ryan Pownall.
Via dexerto
Pownall, under NDA with Kanye, had said humorously in the past that he “sends” women to Kanye. However, he recently came forward to explain that he does not deal with any matchmaker business and also does not facilitate such connections.
Reactions by the public to this news have been those of utter shock and curiosity. Fans have speculated on the reasons behind Kanye’s actions, even more with the Marina Abramovic floating around his marriage to Bianca Censori. Some users even pointed out that probably the reason for Kanye’s divorce rumors was his interactions with female podcast guests. But as Kanye prepares to drop his new album, “Vultures,” the situation with Amouranth’s DMs has launched him into the headlines once again for reasons unrelated to his music.
It remains anyone’s guess if this latest report will have any bearing on public perception of him, but for the time being, the story has incited discussions across social media, chronicling just another chapter in Kanye’s mentally frenetic-and quite frequently scandalous-career.
“Do you ever feel threatened by the recent rise of your fellow pop stars, such as Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Sabrina Carpenter?”
he wasn’t exactly defensive. Quite to the contrary, she greatly admired these other artists, hailing them as “f**king awesome” and celebrating their success in a cutthroat industry.
“Are you kidding me? I’m so happy for these b*tches. It’s a crazy world when you get to the level they’re experiencing right now, and they’re doing great. Fans are drawn to them because they’re f*cking awesome.”
She added it’s no surprise the fans were into them, acknowledging the maelstrom of fame that comes with that level of talent. For Eilish, it’s literally: there’s just no room for some rivalry where the music is this good.
Beyond her remarks about these emerging stars, Billie turned candid about the fierce competition happening in the music business. Although that competition can be cutthroat, she doesn’t really view it as a constant struggle for center stage. Rather, Billie mentioned how important it is to support one another through those states of mind and overwhelming public expectations. “It’s a crazy world at the top,” she noted, “and we all need to have each other’s backs.“
The discussion even touched on Billie’s new single Birds of a Feather, which almost never made it to the public. Early in the year, when she mentioned the single had a more poppy sound than her usual, she said she wasn’t sure that it showed her typical style. After multiple edits, it remains one of her biggest hits; even most unlikely tracks can strike a chord with her audience.
This sense of growth and self-assurance is a returning theme for Billie, who reflected on how her music has changed in recent years. From the dark, brooding tones of her earlier albums to the more emotionally complex songs she’s making these days, according to Billie, much of her artistic shift can be attributed to her experiences with fame. Public scrutiny does force her to constantly move and change; the one thing that does stay put, though, is her commitment to staying real.
Indeed, like many artists of the contemporary era, Billie is vocal about the kinds of pressures thrown her way, both in her personal life and her professional career. She was open about the ways it is tough to maintain good mental health in an industry where everything gets amplified through social media and constant public attention. Yet, she has found her refuge in the company of fellow musicians, stating how significant it is for them all to lean on and lift each other up in such a cutthroat field.
Besides this, Billie is on her world tour titled Hit Me Hard and Soft. Indeed, she has added new dates in 2025 in addition to touring Europe and Australia. It’s a show you would definitely not want to miss, graced with special guests Ashnikko and her brother Finneas, who join her on stage.
She concluded by saying that the public’s perception of her has shifted throughout her career. Being one of the most scrutinized pop stars of her generation, she learned how to handle praise as easily as she could criticism. Amidst constant pressures to be like everybody else, Billie stays true to herself, a quality her fans have come to admire.
On October 10, 2024, the futuristic collided with the casual at the highly anticipated We, Robot event, hosted by none other than Elon Musk. The star of the evening was Tesla’s humanoid robot, Optimus Gen 2: sleek, modern, and built for seamless day-to-day tasks. From watering the flowers to serving drinks, Optimus showed it could deliver and just how far Tesla has come with robotics.
The atmosphere was electric, with an undercurrent light-heartedness as tech enthusiasts socialized with robots, sipping drinks and casually chit-chatting with these mechanical marvels. One such interaction that stole the show was a spontaneous conversation between rapper 2 Chainz and Optimus. Known for his playful personality, 2 Chainz approached the robot with curiosity and humor, sparking a dialogue that quickly went viral.
What’s good, bro?” 2 Chainz said, greeting Optimus, whose head rotated toward him in a fluid, mechanical motion. “How you doing?“ he asked, to which the robot responded, rather human-like, “I’m doing good.” Setting the tone for the rest of their chat, the rapper – never short on a quick quip – took it to the next level by asking, “Can you play basketball? Can you shoot jump shots?“
Without missing a beat, Optimus replied, “Maybe someday I’ll teach you.” The crowd erupted in laughter at how seamlessly the robot could deliver humor. It was Optimus here, really delivering into view Tesla’s vision for the creation of robots that do not simply perform tasks but can also interact with people on a personal basis.
But 2 Chainz wasn’t complete. He took the interaction further, joking how Optimus needed an outfit from Balenciaga. “I got an outfit for you,” 2 Chainz joked. Optimus enthusiastically responded, “Awesome. That’s cool.” By the end of the conversation, 2 Chainz was half-serious, placing the order for the robot. “I’m gonna order you, and I’ll see you in another couple of months.“
However, the exchange was more than amusing; it demonstrated Tesla’s efforts to make its robots friendly and integrate them into daily life. Elon Musk has long envisioned a future in which such humanoid robots also perform house chores, babysitting, and even walking dogs. The robots should be publicly available at an estimated $20,000-$30,000 and give a feel for what the future might look like with robots among us.
The attendees ranged from ‘unbelieving’ to laughing in trusteeship.
“It felt surreal, just watching 2 Chainz having a full-on chat with a robot, like it was nothing outside of ordinary life,”
said one in attendance. A casual discussion showed that Tesla wants to break the ice and make these robots approachable and relatable while the technology is undoubtedly state-of-the-art.
In case you weren’t able to attend the event, you can watch the entire event video below..
Optimus, has been made by no less than Elon Musk himself. The future of robotics is here. As Musk took center stage at the “We, Robot” event this October 2024, held in Tesla’s headquarters, all eyes were glued on him as he introduced his latest brainchild: one highly advanced personal assistant touted to change everyday tasks.
Tesla’s Optimus humanoid robot has been revealed by Elon Musk… 👀‼️
Elon says it can basically “do anything,” like walking your dog, babysitting your kids and mowing your lawn… pic.twitter.com/ztZV6ZVLJr
Musk revealed a very ambitious vision for the event: Optimus is a robot designed for nearly every task that is seamlessly done in homes, according to him. He declared Optimus an “ultimate personal assistant” supposed to perform tasks from babysitting and walking dogs to carrying groceries and even light social interactions.
“Imagine a future where you come home, and Optimus has already walked your dog, tidied up your house, and prepped dinner,” Musk said. “That’s what we’re aiming for-a robot that genuinely makes one’s life easier with respect to tasks.
Optimus stands approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds. Optimus has sleek lines to its build, emulating human proportions for maximum smooth interaction in human environments.
The robot runs on Tesla’s most advancedAI systems, much like the tech used in the firm’s autonomous vehicles. Equipped with sensors, cameras, and powerful actuators, Optimus can find its way through complex environments around it, recognize objects, and also interact with human beings autonomously. The robot is also fully rechargeable and designed to work for hours without human intervention.
But probably the most striking feature of Optimus is how cheap it is. Musk said the robot would cost between $20,000 and $30,000 when it goes into mass production, hence able to reach many households. For such an advanced robot, such a price is considered to be a breakthrough.
The live demonstrations of what Optimus could do were astonishing to the audience present. Before the audience, the robot waved its arms, kept various objects in an elegant hold, and even played simple games with someone present in the audience, all designed to demonstrate balance and reaction. Tesla’s engineers drove home intuitive mechanisms of the device-the so-called user controls the robot either through voice commands or a smartphone app.
As Musk unveiled, Tesla is planning to mass-produce millions of Optimus units targeting industries. “We think this robot is going to completely change the way households function and also is particularly useful for industries that rely on a lot of human labor, like warehouses and retail,” Musk said. According to Tesla, Optimus is one of the most important products in efforts to drive down costs of services around the world where many activities require substantial human labor.
The unveiling of Optimus earned a broad range of responses from those in attendance and those observing online. “It’s like living science fiction,” more than one attendee and online commenter alike echoed. A much sleeker design would put Optimus more in the company of movie bots from I, Robot and Ex Machina, though perhaps sans the dystopian subtext-at least for now.
Of course, not everyone looks at this without raising an eyebrow. Critics were quick to point out the possibility of heavy job displacement, especially in fields requiring a great deal of manual labor. Certain workers in warehousing, retail, and even domestic services were concerned about the number of jobs that robots like Optimus could lose when companies embrace the automation technology. However, Tesla remains hopeful that the technology will open fresh avenues for employment in the field of robotics maintenance and AI development.
Assuming Tesla continues to refine and develop Optimus, the future can almost be assured to be promising-and possibly disruptive. This could greatly alter people’s approach to work and leisure and generally to everyday routines once the humanoid robots start their mass adoption both in homes and workplaces. As amazing as Optimus’ capabilities sound, the implications for greater society-and most specifically, for jobs-remain hotly debated.
Rapper Blueface has been stripped of his video call privileges at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California. This comes after a leaked video on FaceTime caused an uproar that reached the headlines. In the now-viral footage from October 2024, a woman was seen twerking during a video call with the rapper. Serving four years for probation violations, Blueface was subsequently punished by prison bosses and stripped of his FaceTime privileges.
The incident occurred a month after Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Jamall Porter, was transferred to North Kern from Los Angeles County Jail. The identity of the woman in the video has not been revealed. However, her irreverent behavior prompted not only an immediate response from prison officials but also an outspoken response from his family.
Blueface Caught Watching a Woman Twerk on Leaked Jail Video Call-Karlissa Claims He Lost His Privileges Over It! 😂 pic.twitter.com/DTzZClOXVN
This isn’t the first time Blueface has been in the news for his run-ins with the law. His current four-year sentence is a result of violating probation related to an assault case in 2021 for attacking a security guard at a club in San Fernando Valley. His legal issues go further back, though, including an attempted murder charge in Las Vegas that occurred in 2022 for allegedly firing a gun at a man outside of a club. In June 2023, he was charged with robbery after allegedly stealing a woman’s phone at the Palms Casino, Las Vegas. These incidents have combined to form a troubled public image for the rapper.
Karlissa Saffold, Blueface’s mother, has never minced words when it comes to speaking her mind about her son’s troubles; the recent scandal being no exception.
“I was mad I couldn’t cuss him out on FaceTime ‘cus my homeboy that work up at that jail said he was already doing some…nevermind. He was acting freaky on the FaceTime and lost the FaceTime privileges already, else I would have cussed his ass out.”
Saffold said that her post to social media suggested that for some time during the call, Blueface’s behavior had been inappropriate. She also complained that because of the privileges lost, she could not be able to confront him face to face, adding to the personal and emotional layer of the controversy.
Before this scandal, Blueface referred to his prison life as a “break” from outside pressures. He said he focused a lot on working out, watching TV, and staying in close contact with family members. Without his FaceTime privileges now, those lines of communication have become grossly diminished. Despite this restriction, Blueface still keeps in contact with his family through regular phone calls, although the incident surely complicated his daily routine.
This would put Blueface in a position to be eligible for early release as early as March or April 2025, provided his behavior continues to be good. Early release, in this case, would take into account time served and also good conduct credit. On his release, Blueface is expected to return to his music career in a bid to recapture the runaway interest tasted with his hit single “Thotiana.” He has spoken about using prison time to reflect and draw inspiration for future projects that may talk about his personal and legal struggles.
The video call scandal only adds to the already controversy-marred persona of Blueface. If he was known for his run-ins with the law and generally eventful personal life, then this latest incident further raises questions about how he can manage a career and pertinent personal responsibilities. His family dynamics-most especially, the continuous drama with his mom and on-and-off partner, Chrisean Rock-are sure to play out in the public eye.
While his music career remains the potential focus once he gets out, Blueface’s public image took yet another hit in the court of public opinion, and it remains to be seen how he will rebuild both a personal life and professional reputation.
On Thursday evening, Charli XCX treated an enthusiastic crowd of fans and music industry professionals to a special listen-in for her highly-anticipated Brat Remix Album at Storm King Art Center in Hudson Valley. The event premiered experimental, extra-planetary soundscapes reimagining tracks from the original BRAT album.
Charli’s remix album-which, provocatively enough, is titled “Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat”-reworks and reimagines tracks from the original Brat album, out this June 2024. This is no ordinary remix project. Charli approached it holistically, taking creative care with each track to make it an evolution of the original. “”Its not a matter of, hurry it up, slow it down beats,” she said during the listening party. It was like, I wanted the remixes to deal with deeper themes of fame, celebrity pressures, and toxic fan relationships but sound fresh and exciting.

The list of collaborators on this new album reads like a who’s who: pop giant Ariana Grande, indie icon Julian Casablancas on loan from The Strokes, and some otherworldly vocals thanks to the one and only Bon Iver. Each of these musicians added that special something to the collaborative remix project that had Charli continuing to experiment with hyperpop. The track “Sympathy Is a Knife,” featuring Ariana Grande, speaks on a deep level to the scrutiny that comes with public life and how celebrities negotiate unrelenting pressures from the weight of fame.
Another highlight is “Von Dutch,” which taps viral TikTok sensation Addison Rae for a look at the toxic dynamic that sometimes occurs between followers and influencers.
Charli said working on the remix album was very collaborative. She didn’t just hand over her original tracks to a remix artist; she sat down with each of the featured guest artists to craft an entirely new arrangement. “The songs aren’t just remixed-they’re transformed,” she said. The result is one deeply rich tapestry of sound that veers between Charli’s typical hyperpop and the more experimental, fusing electronic beats with introspective lyrics.
During the listening party, frequented by guests who could listen to the premiere of the album surrounded by monumental sculptures from Storm King, added a visual layer to the music. This symbolic gesture showed how the woman is never afraid to mix up some of the most popular aspects of pop culture with high art. That artistic venue was reminiscent of her creative ethos in pushing music into unexpected spaces.
One of the more improbable things about Brat and It’s Completely Different but Also Still Brat is its album cover: minimal, lime-green. What started as a cost-cutting measure-“I thought the album wouldn’t sell well, so I decided to scale back the design”-has since become an iconic image for the album, resonating with fans as a statement on the wild vicissitudes of fame. As the party wound down, Charli took a moment to consider what the remix project had meant on a deeper cultural level. Album themes that touch on the scourge of fame and celebrity pressures are timely in an era when artists are speaking more and more about the darker sides of their success.
It features artists such as Billie Eilish, Lorde, and Troye Sivan; basically, this remix album is a cultural touchstone capturing the spirit of today’s musical landscape while offering a self-reflective look at the cost of fame.
Legendary rapper Jadakiss, known for his raspy voice and slick lyrics, just caused some noise in Philadelphia. Of course, it had nothing to do with music. He was spotted behind the grill at none other than Beanie Sigel’s new food truck, Grab & Roll: Wings & Bowls. That’s located at 2400 Passyunk Avenue, and this latest venture of Sigel’s is certainly heating up the local food scene-to help bring the heat to Jadakiss.
From heavyweight at Roc-A-Fella Records to an exciting detour in his career, Beanie Sigelhas pulled a surprising turn. A staple of street anthems and collaborations with the elite in hip-hop, Sigel has now turned food entrepreneur with Grab & Roll alongside his family. Well-known Philly staples line up on the truck’s menu, from wings to fried seafood to cheesesteaks, but the true star of the show is the Bully Burger: a drool-worthy medley of ground sirloin, ribeye, and beef bacon oozing over a soft Bavarian pretzel bun. This is one burger begging for attention-much like Sigel’s presence on the mic.
When Jadakiss came into the kitchen, it wasn’t some cameo-he performed. The rapper-cum-chef prepared steaming hot dishes for a crowd of fans and locals alike, combining his passion for food with the same ferocity as he brings to his bars. This wasn’t just burgers and wings; this was about the deep respect between the two artists who have swum through the constantly changing climate of the entertainment business. To Jadakiss, hopping into Sigel’s food truck was a nod to the importance of evolving and supporting each other’s new ventures.
One can even say that Grab & Roll is an instant sensation, partly due to its organic mix of comfort food and hometown pride. After all, Beanie Sigel was raised in the same Philly streets from which his music emanated, and he put the same heart and soul into his food truck.
Whether serving up the Bully Burger or a plate of crispy wings, Sigel and his family put passion into each order. It’s much more than just a food truck; that’s a way for the chef to stay in touch with this community that always supported him.
These hip-hop icons in the culinary world speak volumes of the cultural shift we live today. Rappers like Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss prove their impact goes way beyond the studio, embracing food as another method of relating to their fans. In a city such as Philadelphia, where food and music are so deeply part of the local culture, this sort of venture by Sigel feels particularly like a natural fit. After all, few things are loved quite as much in Philly as a great meal shared among friends.
Grab & Roll stands out in so many ways from being merely a business; it’s a community hangout. Sigel, supported by his family behind him, isn’t simply feeding the people but giving back to his hometown. The food truck has become the hallmark of resilience, hard work, and the power of reinvention.
