Based on the New York Times bestseller, The Night Agent is an action thriller coming to Netflix this spring courtesy of Shawn Ryan. The former The Shield creator will serve as both creator and showrunner of the 10-episode series that’s set to start streaming March 23.
Cast
Gabriel Basso will play Peter Sutherland who is a low-ranking FBI agent who gets wrapped up in a conspiracy years in the making after a call from Rose Larkin, a cyber-technologist rescued from her aunt and uncle during a home invasion. She calls Peter for guidance and the two soon discover a secret that could destroy the United States.
Hong Chau (Downsizing) will play Diane Farr, who is the President’s Chief of Staff and described as a political animal who will end up being one of Peter and Rose’s most trusted operatives within the White House. She’s known to be a very calculated and savvy person.
Sarah Desjardins will play Maddie Redfield, the daughter of the Vice President and is a strong-willed individual who resents her parents. She tries to get away from her family and is studying abroad in Rome but will resent her parents again when she discovers that the President’s family has been under a Russian mole for years.
Enrique Murciano will play Ben Almora, an even-keeled handler of all the Secret Service activity inside the White House. He’s been an agent for years but hasn’t been working as hard as he used to because of a mysterious case that’s kept him off the clock.
