Rapper Lupe Fiasco has a lot going for him these days. He’s an entrepreneur, a record producer and a Grammy-winning artist. Additionally, his push to introduce and promote conscious rap music earned Fiasco another round of awards, including a recognition as a Henry Crown Fellow. After achieving early success in his career, Lupe Fiasco has managed to make a name for himself in the HipHop industry. His musical genius has no bounds. Though, Lupe Fiasco hasn’t used his music just to better himself. He’s also imparted his wisdom to our youth.
Recently, the Chicago native accepted the position to teach a course in rap music as a visiting professor at MIT.
Superstar Professor Lupe Fiasco Comes To Class
Who’d pass up the opportunity to have superstar Lupe Fiasco teach a class on rap music at their school? Pretty sure the students at MIT will be excited to see the star visiting their school. Of course, Lupe Fiasco expressed his excitement at the news.
Recently, the Chicago rapper tweeted that he could barely keep the news secret for much longer. In the future, he hopes to have “something more sophisticated” to say about his new teaching gig. Need he say more? Furthermore, he’s one of the three professors recruited to teach at the university. The practice comes as a part of MIT’s MLK Visiting Professor Program season for 2022-2023.
He’s Outlining A Syllabus For The MIT Course
The Food & Liquor rapper further tweeted that he’s outlining a syllabus for his new rap curriculum. Currently, he’s working out the draft, which includes a series of mathematical jargon mixed with rap. It’s no wonder he’s regarded as a musical genius. Additionally, for Lupe Fiasco, this isn’t his first time working with MIT.
He’s also run their previous Code Cypher competition. Clearly, Lupe Fiasco has great connections with MIT, so much so, that the university keeps rehiring him for various positions.
