Lil Wayne Accused of Abuse by Ex-Girlfriend After Shocking Mother’s Day Breakup

Lil Wayne’s world was rocked this Mother’s Day when his ex-girlfriend, Denise Bidot, unleashed a bombshell of allegations, accusing the rap icon of emotional and physical abuse before a heartless breakup that left her and her daughter homeless. The explosive claims, shared in a raw Instagram video on May 11, 2025, have sent shockwaves through the entertainment world, raising serious questions about the private life of one of hip-hop’s biggest stars.

In a tearful Instagram Story, 38-year-old model Denise Bidot laid bare the pain of her breakup with Lil Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.

“Breaking up with someone on Mother’s Day is diabolical,”

she wrote.

“Prayers up though. God always pulls me through. Walking with faith.”

Hours later, she went live on Instagram, detailing a series of harrowing accusations.

“Wayne literally kicked me and my daughter out on Mother’s Day today,”

Bidot said, her voice cracking with emotion.

“And I am just recovering from surgery. I am five weeks out from a full mommy makeover. I can’t even lift boxes, but this man has his assistants and people coming to help kick us out today.”

She revealed that Wayne ended their relationship via a cold text message, adding insult to injury as her daughter’s birthday loomed the following weekend.

“And my birthday’s next weekend,”

she continued.

“And I leave to New York this week for all the Sports Illustrated press.”

Bidot didn’t stop at the eviction. She accused Wayne of infidelity, claiming,

“I know he has two girls being flown in today. And who knows how many plethora of girls he has.”

She expressed her devastation, saying,

“I’ve been nothing but supportive to this man. Loved him till the end of the world. But, like, you literally flew me, uprooted me from New York City where I was living. And brought me here for this bullshit.”

Most shockingly, Bidot alleged physical abuse. “It’s not just the emotional abuse,” she said.

“This man has actually laid a hand on me. Like, nah. Nah. And I took it. You know what’s crazy is they always say, like, we’re so stupid for love. And I thought it was a mistake. But, like, I know other women he’s put his hands on.”

She hinted at legal action, asking followers,

“If y’all got lawyer recommendations, please send them.”

Bidot concluded her video defiantly, stating she and her daughter were returning to the shared home to

“see what really goes down,”

Though no further updates have emerged.

Denise Bidot is a trailblazing plus-size model of Puerto Rican and Kuwaiti descent, born in Miami, Florida. A pioneer in the fashion industry, she became the first plus-size model to walk multiple runways at New York Fashion Week in 2014. Her résumé boasts campaigns with major brands like Kohl’s, Macy’s, and Khloé Kardashian’s Good American, as well as appearances in HBO’s Habla Women and the documentary Straight/Curve. Recently named a 2025 rookie for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Bidot is a vocal advocate for body positivity, founding the “No Wrong Way Movement” to promote self-acceptance.

A single mother, Bidot shares a close bond with her teenage daughter, Joselyn Adams, from a previous relationship with childhood sweetheart Joshua Adams. The duo has walked runways together, and Bidot has spoken passionately about teaching Joselyn self-love.

“Nowhere have I felt so much awesome responsibility than when teaching my daughter that there is no wrong way to be herself,”

She wrote in a Refinery29 essay.

Lil Wayne and Bidot’s romance began in 2019, blossoming during the COVID-19 pandemic. They went Instagram official in June 2020, with Wayne captioning a post,

“Somehow in the middle of all the madness, something special happened. Us.”

Bidot called Wayne the

“greatest love of my life”

On his 39th birthday in September 2021, praising him as her

“teacher, friend, and the goat.”

Their relationship, however, was turbulent, marked by multiple breakups and reconciliations.

In January 2021, the couple briefly split after Bidot posted cryptically about disappointment, possibly tied to Wayne’s endorsement of then-President Donald Trump. They reconciled by April 2021, but Bidot confirmed a permanent split in January 2022 during an interview with Hola!, saying,

“Today I feel like a much more complete woman.”

Despite this, recent reports suggest they were together or reconciled by 2025, as Bidot referred to herself as Wayne’s fiancée and mentioned living together.

Lil Wayne, 42, is a five-time Grammy-winning rapper and founder of Young Money Entertainment, with hits like “Lollipop” and an upcoming album, Tha Carter VI, slated for June 2025. His personal life has been as high-profile as his career. Wayne has four children from past relationships: Reginae Carter with ex-wife Toya Johnson, Dwayne III with Sarah Vivan, Cameron with Lauren London, and Neal with Nivea. He was briefly engaged to model La’Tecia Thomas in 2020 before dating Bidot, and recent reports linked him to live-in chef LeahAngelie Murphy in 2024, raising questions about overlapping relationships.

While Wayne has faced legal troubles, including a 2010 gun possession charge and a 2015 paternity dispute, no prior domestic violence allegations have surfaced publicly. His mental health struggles, including a childhood suicide attempt and seizures in 2013, have been well-documented, offering context but not justification for the alleged behavior.
