Kodak Black Lets Residents Go Rent-Free For An Entire Year
In an unexpected turn of events, Kodak Black donated roughly $88,000 to the Merry Place Apartments in West Palm Beach, FL this week. Furthermore, the award-winning rap star teamed up with the Zachariah McQueen Foundation to help keep the lights on for 28 families facing eviction at the apartment complex.
Even West Palm Beach Housing Authority representative Linda Odum showed off the check made by Black and the foundation. Furthermore, rents for the 28 selected residents will be paid off in full for the rest of the year. We can only imagine the relief of those lucky residents.
He Sheds Light On The Housing Crisis Renters Face
Clearly, Kodak Black understands the financial crisis many families face with their landlords in the mist of the pandemic. According to the rapper, it’s unfair for landlords to kick struggling families kicked out of their homes. Additionally, he shed light on the housing crisis where landlords “increase rents over $1,000 without notice.” Hopefully, a more permanent solution will be made available to families struggling to pay their rent this holiday season.
