Katy Perry wears plunging gold gown to perform at coronation concert! She absolutely wowed the crowd at Windsor Castle in England on Sunday. Her performance at the coronation concert for King Charles III and Queen Camilla was a hit. The singer performed her hits “Roar” and “Firework” alongside fellow American Idol judge Lionel Richie, and more.
It wasn’t just Perry’s larger-than-life performance that caught people’s attention. Her glam gold lame gown by British designer Vivienne Westwood also stole the show. She wore the backless dress with a plunging neckline, balloon sleeves, and an exaggerated train for the event. She sported a pair of gold statement earrings and slicked her hair into a sleek updo.

One detail of her Coronation concert outfit was particularly special. A small crown embroidered the inside of the gown next to her name. Accompanied by the initials “VW,” in Honor of Westwood, who died last year at the age of 81. The label was a longtime favorite of the pop star’s, who wore an embellished gown by the fashion house for her Sex and the City wedding to then-husband John Mayer.
